Sherri DuPree-Bemis’ Tattoos
Tweet
Sherri DuPree-Bemis has two large tattoos on her left arm which she designed and drew herself. Sherri is a talented artist and you can see more of her original drawings here. She also has her husband’s name on her wrist, his band name and logo above her elbow, and batman on her wrist. Sherri says that she is “going for a half-sleeve eventually” but likes her tattoos black and white and has no plans to color them.
Sherri’s frist tattoo was of a girl with a guitar, which she got in June 2010. The character appears to modeled after Sherri herself, as Sherri is a guitarist. The cartoon also has a similar clothing style with a frilly dress, mary jane shoes, and knee socks. Coming out of the girl’s neck is a cord which says “Bemis,” Sherri’s married name.
In May 2011, Sherri had her drawing of Texas turned into a tattoo by Alice Kendall at Infinity Tattoo in Portland, OR. The tattoo depicts a sun smiling over a house within a heart inside the outline of Texas and expresses her love for her home state. The DuPree family lives in Tyler, TX and Sherri now owns a house there with her husband Max Bemis. The drawing is quite intricate and includes a rabbit, deer, butterflies, raspberry, strawberries, pine cone, pine trees and flowers.

Sherri DuPree-Bemis' "maxim" tattoo
Sherri has the word “maxim” tattooed on her left forearm in a messy handwriting. The tattoo is for her husband Max Bemis of Say Anything, whose full name is Maxim Adam Bemis.

In March 2012, Sherri had two more tributes to her husband inked on her arm. She got the name of his band “Say Anything” and the match and flame design from the cover of their single “Burn A Miracle.”

At the same time, she had a black silhouette of Batman tattooed on her wrist, beneath the “maxim” tattoo.

Sherri added two more tattoos in May 2012 which she drew herself and had inked by her friend Tiffany Petty. On her forearm right below her elbow she has an outline of the character Totoro from the Japanese animated movie My Neighbor Totoro.

This simple blackwork design on the back of her arm is the symbol of the Deathly Hallows in the Harry Potter books. Tattoo artist Tiffany Petty has this on her knee.

I love the Totoro one, it’s so cute!
Oh my. I love love love her Harry Potter tattoo!
to be honest I have to agree with you Alkaid. The two big pieces on her upper arm are really beautiful and well-designed — especially the Texas one! But all of her newer ones (including two more I just added) seem so random and simple.
I liked her tattoos, but since she added the flame, batman and the say anything tattoo i don’t really like them anymore…..
she have 3 new tattoos
The girl tattoo is a Blythe doll. Blythe dolls have a string at the back, and when pulled the dolls eyes change colour. She has a huge collection of them.

The aforementioned string in Sherris tattoo spells out “bemis” which is her husbands last name.

Just some more details if anyone is interested.
Max’s*
Maxim, is in Mac’s handwriting, I think it’s adorable. And I think that the first tattoo is a pull string doll. She loves dolls. Lol.
The texas tattoo doesn’t have a sun, it has a moon. Eisley has a song called “Mr. Moon” and a lyric is “Mr Moon shines down on my home.” Just to clarify!
Amazing ink, and very creative considering they were drawn by her. Not liking the ‘Maxim’ on her arm…just don’t like the style.
Her tattoo’s are amazing; but then again so is she.
