Addison Timlin got her first tattoo she was 16. It is on her left shoulder and says “The Last One” as a tribute to her mother and her role as the youngest child in her family. She told WWD:
I got my first one at 16. It sits on my shoulder and says, “the last one” ironically, but it’s my mother’s handwriting and it’s a poem she wrote when I was born because I’m the youngest of four.
Bea Miller celebrated her 18th birthday on February 7, 2017 by getting matching tattoos with her mother. They both got “dream sweet dreams” on their forearms written in each other’s handwriting. “From the song my mom used to sing me every night when I couldn’t fall asleep, mine in her handwriting and hers in mine,” Bea tweeted. Bella Hadid has a pair of tiny angel wings on the back of her right ankle which she got from artist Jon Boy in January 2017. The discreet inkings are her first known tattoos.
She has not spoken about the wings’ personal meaning, but we have a few guesses. Bella is a Victoria’s Secret Angel, so the tattoos could be in honor of her career as a model with the iconic lingerie brand.
She also calls her mom angel, too. Bella posted on twitter for her mother’s birthday “Today marks the day that our beautiful angel, my best friend and mother was brought into this world! Thank you for EVERYTHING!!!!!! Nobody loves you more than me.”
Ruby Rose honors her mother with this “MUM” tattoo on the side of her right wrist. It’s done using purple, red and blue inks with each letter in a different color.
The letters “MJAA” on Andrea Russett’s left hand represent the names of her family members: M for her father Mark, J for her mother Jacqui, A for her sister Anna, and another A for her brother Anthony.
“For the family,” She wrote on her instagram. “Every time I look at these I think of my parents and siblings and it makes me smile. The tattoos I get will always be for me. I don’t care if no one understands them or they don’t make sense to anyone else. Been a good day.”
Tasia Alexis has the words “Love you mean it” inked on the right side of her back for her mother.
Katy Elise Henry has a long roman numeral tattoo along her left forearm which says “LXVLXVIIILXXXVIIIXCIV”. Though all of the digits are strung together on her tattoo, it represents four different numbers: “LXV” for 65, “LXVIII” for 68, “LXXXVIII” for 88, and “XCIV” for 94. We believe that this tattoo represents the birth years of her family members, with 65 and 68 for her parents Tawnya Nelson and Derick Henry, 88 for her older sister jewelry designer Tanaya Henry who was born in 1988, and 94 for her younger sister Gabrielle Henry.
