Eleanor Calder and her boyfriend Louis Tomlinson got tattoos on their fingers in honour of their love. Eleanor got an ‘L’ tattoo on her ringer and Louis got a simple capital letter ‘E’ on the back of his hand, a place he couldn’t unsee even if he wanted to.

Ariana Grande got a little outline of a lightning bolt inked behind her right ear in June 2018. She hasn’t talked about this tattoo, but it’s almost certainly based on her love of Harry Potter as she’s known to be a huge fan of the series.
Her fiance Pete Davidson has his own lightning bolt tattoo on his wrist, though his looks a lot different. He’s had his for a long time, but it was another one of his Harry Potter tattoos that caught Ariana’s eye the first time they met on the set of SNL. “I remember I looked off stage right…and I saw he had his sleeve [up] and I saw the Deathly Hallows [on his arm] and the tiny tip of a Dumbledore quote,” she told Zach Sang. “I thought he was cute so I was looking over anyway.” But the tattoos sealed her crush.
Ariana Grande has the number “561” written vertically on her left thumb. This number is the area code for her home town of Boca Raton, Florida.
It is a matching tattoo with fiance Pete Davidson, who has his own Staten Island area code “718” on the same spot.
Ariana Grande and her ex-boyfriend Ricky Alvarez have matching tattoos that say “hi” on their toes. Ricky was one of her backup dancers and they are thought to have dated from April 2015 to July 2016.
This tattoo was revealed at the American Music Awards on November 22, 2015 but is rarely ever seen since Ariana almost exclusively wears closed-toed shoes.
Fans are split over what this tiny writing on Ariana Grande’s ring finger says. At first glance it looks like “pete,” which would be an obvious choice seeing as she and fiance Pete Davidson have gotten many tattoos dedicated to each other and it’s on the same finger as her engagement ring.
But upon closer inspection, there’s no stem on the letter “p” and an extra up-swipe before the “e.” That’s why others are convinced that it says “arte” which is the Italian word for “art.” Ariana has drawn heavily from classic Italian art for the visual accompaniments to her single “God is a woman.” The music video reinterprets the Capitoline Wolf sculpture as well as Michelangelo’s The Creation of Adam while her VMA performance of the song was based on Leonardo da Vinci’s The Last Supper. She is ethnically Italian and one of her earliest tattoos was of another Italian word “bellisima” on her side.
We initially thought the tattoo said “pete” but after staring at it for way too long, we’re team “arte.” Unless perhaps it’s an ambigram meant to show both words at once, implying that Pete is art?
Either way it matches the location of one of Pete’s finger tattoos — and we have no idea what his says. His ring finger ink pre-dates hers, which she got in July 2018.
This cloud on Ariana Grande’s middle finger was the first of many matching tattoos that she shares with her fiance, SNL comedian Pete Davidson. The tattoo was a shock to the world when it was seen at the Billboard Music Awards on May 20, 2018 as she had only officially announced her breakup with ex-boyfriend Mac Miller ten days earlier. Even more shocking was the news of Pete and Ariana’s engagement after only a few weeks of dating.
Everything with their relationship has moved rapidly. He told GQ “The day I met her I was like, ‘Hey, I’ll marry you tomorrow.'” And if that sounds fast, Ariana wanted to marry him years earlier when she barely knew him. She revealed to Jimmy Fallon that she was smitten when she saw him in the writers’ room during one of her appearances on SNL two or three years prior and immediately joked to her tour manager “I’m marrying him, like 100 percent, like I’m literally marrying him.” But she never revealed her crush to him and didn’t even get his number. When they finally starting talking, things got serious quickly.
Ariana loves clouds and has used them in her merchandise for years, even naming her latest perfume after them. Clouds also seem to have a personal meaning to the couple, perhaps representing how he “fell from the sky into my lap” as she sings on the aptly-named track “Pete Davidson.”
Ariana Grande has a tattoo of the word “always” on left side of her rib cage. The inking was revealed in the music video for “Bed” with Nicki Minaj in June 2018. It’s another token of her whirlwind relationship with fiance Pete Davidson and it appears to be written in his handwriting. Fans have compared it to a letter that he wrote to show that it’s a match.
Her choice of the word “always” is presumably a reference to the Harry Potter series. Both Ariana and Pete are huge fans and they’ve got other Harry Potter tattoos as well. He has the Deathly Hallows symbol on his arm, a lightning bolt on his wrist, and a long quote in the Harry Potter font. Ariana’s an even bigger fan and he’s mocked her encyclopedic knowledge of every minor detail in the books.
Lea Michele has two lines of text on the right side of her rib cage reading “I love you more” and “if you say so” as a reminder of the last conversation that she ever had with her fiance Cory Monteith before he died of a drug overdose on July 13, 2013.
“I love you more” is the last thing that she ever said to him and she’s thankful to have ended things on such a positive note, telling Seventeen “I spoke to a woman who had lost her son, and she mentioned how grateful she was that the words she said to her son before he died were ‘I love you.’ Mine were as well.”
The last words that her said to her were “if you say so” in response to her. She wrote a song called “If You Say So” about his passing which contains the lyrics “And I can’t get the last words that you said / Can’t get those words out of my head” and “You said, I love you girl / I said, I love you more / Then a breath, a pause, you said / If you say so.”
Lea Michele has “Finn” inked in small font on her left butt cheek. Finn is the character that her fiancee Cory Monteith, who is deceased, played on the TV show Glee.
On the show, Lea’s character Rachel and her friend Kurt decide to get tattoos in honor of Finn, in hopes that this would help them heal. Kurt decides to get “it gets better” inked, while Rachel claimed she backed out. Later in the episode, she lifts up her shirt to reveal her lover’s name in a delicate font tattooed on her side.
Many people didn’t see Lea Michele’s real-life “Finn” tattoo until her nearly-naked cover of Women’s Health magazine’s September 2016 issue; but she actually had this tattoo inked in 2011, before her late love passed.
Blac Chyna got this “BC” tattoo on her left ankle back when she was dating rapper Mechie in July 2017. He has a matching tattoo behind his ear. She’s inked many of her boyfriends’ names on her body, but this time they both got matching tattoos of her initials — which is fortunate for her because they broke up a month later.
