Tameka Tiny Harris has a chain of hearts wrapping around her left wrist like a bracelet. Every other heart is filled in with red ink and the other half are empty. At the center is her husband rapper T.I. (Clifford Joseph Harris, Jr.)’s nickname “Tip.”
Beyoncé Knowles has an “IV” tattoo on her left ring finger which is a matching tattoo with her husband Jay-Z. The tattoo has many meanings for the couple.
IV is the Roman Numeral for the number four. Both Beyoncé and Jay-Z have birthdays on the fourth of the month: she was born on September 4, 1981 and he was born on December 4, 1969. The couple were married on April 4, 2008. Additionally Beyoncé’s mother has a birthday on January 4th.
Beyoncé generally does not wear her $5 million engagement ring, even though she describes it as her favorite piece of jewelry. “I feel like [the ring] is for me when I’m not working. And when I’m working, it’s too personal,” she said in an interview. “Even though it’s fading I have a little tattoo that is here always, because I know I would be working and I wouldn’t be able to wear it all the time. So I have this.”
Beyoncé and Jay-Z named their daughter Blue Ivy Carter, giving even more significance to the letters IV.

Avril Lavigne’s biggest tattoo yet is the writing on her left forearm which says “La vie en Rose / Vivre le moment présent”, which is French for “Life in Pink / Living in the moment.” She got this tattoo with her husband Chad Kroeger, though they weren’t yet dating at the time. Avril and Chad were working together writing songs for her self-titled album when she suggested the tattoos. Avril told Chelsea Lately “When I met him I was really surprised that he didn’t have any tattoos, so the second day in the studio I’m like, ‘I’m so getting you your first tattoo.’” The tattoos weren’t intended to be matching — originally Avril had just the first line “La vie en Rose” and Chad had “Vivre le moment présent,” but she later added the second line in order to match his. Amber Rose has a tattoo on the back of her left arm of her ex-husband Wiz Khalifa’s face surrounded by marijuana leaves.
Arvil Lavigne celebrated Deryck Whibley’s 30th birthday with him in March 2010, and the two got “30” tattooed on their wrists together. The couple had already filed for divorce but remained close friends. She had a lightning bolt tattooed right below it in April 2010 with Brody Jenner, her boyfriend at the time, who got a matching tattoo behind his ear. (more…)
R&B singer Faith Evans commemorated her marriage to record label executive Todd Russaw with a tattoo on her chest that says “Faye & Todd For Ever” with a rose and heart. Unfortunately their relationship was not forever as the tattoo proclaimed, and they filed for divorce in 2011 after 14 years of marriage.
The rose itself is a cover-up of another tattoo. Looking closely, there are some black letters that can be seen through the red ink. Her original tattoo was “BIG ❤ Faye” for her husband The Notorious B.I.G., who died in 1997. She added the rose to cover-up BIG’s name, while leaving the heart and her own name visible.
She began dating Todd in 1997 while she and BIG were separated. They married in 1998 after Biggie’s death and she changed the tattoo shortly after.
Faith is still sporting Todd’s name years after the divorce and we don’t know if she has plans to ever cover or remove it. She remains in close contact with Todd as the former couple have two children together.
Lena Headey originally got the name “Loughran” tattooed on her wrist for her husband Peter Loughran, whom she married in May 2007. They filed for divorce in 2012, but Lena expanded the tattoo instead of removing it. Loughran is also the last name of the son that she and Peter had, so she added their son’s first name “Wiley” to the tattoo.
Katie Waissel regrets this heart tattoo on her finger, which was a matching tattoo with her ex-husband male model Brad Alphonso. She has said that she “can’t wait to get rid of [it]” and is looking into laser tattoo removal. “Anyone know any good tattoo removal places? I have one that’s GOT to GO!!” she says.
Victoria Beckham has the initials “DB” tattooed on her left wrist for her husband David Beckham. The couple began dating in 1997 and have been married since 1999.
