Bunny Meyer got this portrait tattoo on the top of her right foot during spring break in 2011. “This was my first color tattoo and also my first large area tattoo,” she explained in a video. “It’s a cameo of Al Swearengen who is a character from the TV show Deadwood.” His face is in a golden picture frame with two crossed miner’s knives at the bottom.

The tattoo was done by Dave Boseman at Locally Famous Tattoo in Houston, TX. He got through it in one session which took roughly seven hours. “He is by far the best portrait artist I have even seen,” Bunny says.

She original planned on getting tattoos on both feet, but has reconsidered since this one was so painful. She was shocked by how much it hurt since her first tattoo on her wrist was relatively pain-free. “I was going to get another cameo on my left foot of another Deadwood character so they would match and be a set. But I have not been able to convince myself to do this because the first time around was so horrible.” Even after the tattoo was done, her foot was so swollen that she couldn’t walk for a week.

Bunny Meyer has a tattoo on her right index finger which is identical to Johhny Depp’s knuckle tattoo. “I have always been a big Johnny Depp fan,” she explained in a video. “Ever since I was little I saw this tattoo on his finger. I’ve always loved it. Three is a lucky number for me.” She has had this tattoo since April 2011.

Having a “copied” tattoo is somewhat controversial but Bunny says “I know that some people are going to think this is stupid. But I didn’t get this tattoo for other people, I got it for myself…It’s something I’ve always wanted and something I’ve always loved. I don’t regret it. I love it.”

She likes it’s placement on her knuckle because “it’s like permanent jewelry. It’s like a ring that I never have to take off.”

Bunny Meyer (grav3yardgirl on YouTube) got her first tattoo in December 2010. It’s on the inside of her left wrist/forearm and it says “Real Horrorshow.” This phrases comes from the movie A Clockwork Orange which one of her two all-time favorite movies (the other is Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas). It also has a deep personal meaning.

In a YouTube video, Bunny explained “They speak a special language in that movie which is kind of like slang, like from Russian slang, and it’s called Nadsat. ‘Real Horrowshow’ is a codeword for something good or something awesome. I was going through some really rough stuff in 2010. I was in and out of the hospital a lot. I had gotten into a really bad car accident and broke my hand. So I got this tattoo kind of in homage of feeling good, feeling better. It has a lot of symbolism for me.”

actress Marsha Thomason has a tattoo of four black squares connected by a line on her right upper arm. During a panel at Comic Con she revealed that she came up with the design herself and there is no deeper meaning behind it.

“There is no story about the tattoo, it’s so boring,” she explained. “I was 21 and I decided I needed a tattoo. I got a pen and I doodled for a while and I came up with four boxes and a line.”

Megan Massacre got the raven tattoo on her leg as part of the TLC TV show America’s Worst Tattoos. It covers up an unfinished zombie tattoo that she hated. She worked collaboratively with artist Tim Pangburn to come up with the new design.

“I like dark creepy things,” she told TLC. “Halloween is one of my favorite holidays and ravens remind me of Halloween. So it was a pretty good fit for me. I was very excited about. I love it so much better than the weird creepy alien zombie that used to be on my leg.”
