Ruby Rose has a matching tattoo on the side of her left middle finger which says “here” with a little black star. “Some matching ink with my sis SaSa,” she wrote. She got the tattoo in October 2011, before most of her hand tattoos.
This tattoo symbolizes living each day to the fullest. She wrote in a Facebook comment“yes it means live in the moment.. BE IN THE PRESENT. I was going to get “Present” and then thought.. OH HELL NO.. that will look like .. something wrong.”

Ruby Rose honors her mother with this “MUM” tattoo on the side of her right wrist. It’s done using purple, red and blue inks with each letter in a different color.
In April 2012 Ruby Rose got a tattoo of Polly Esther from the anime TV show Samurai Pizza Cats (Kyattou Ninden Teyandee). This is the third character on her forearm and was last piece she needed to complete the full sleeve on her right arm. She now has only small spaces left on this arm.

Ruby Rose has a tattoo on the side of her left wrist which says “D.I.Y.” — an acronym for “Do It Yourself.” This is one of her older tattoos. When she added her tattoo of Gumby in a cat costume, she placed it carefully so that the tail wraps around this tattoo without covering it.

Ruby Rose has a huge portrait of graffiti artist Jean-Michel Basquiat on her upper left arm, which she got from artist Jessica Mascitti Ellis at the New York City tattoo parlor East Side Ink in June 2014. She is a huge fan of Basquiat and previously tattooed his iconic crown logo on her chest.
Some fans noted a resemblance between the portrait’s whacky hairstyle and singer The Weeknd, so Ruby took to twitter to clear the air and encourage her followers to look up Basquiat’s art and the graffiti tag SAMO which he shared with fellow graffiti artist Al Diaz. “Although I love the @theweeknd no he is not tattooed on my arm. it’s Basquiat. SAMO! You’re missing out if you don’t about SAMO,” she tweeted.
Basquiat was one of the most prominent street artists of the 1970s and 1980s, but he died tragically of a heroin overdose in 1988 at the age of 27. In tweet, Ruby wrote “So many people dont know Basquiat? You should watch one of the documentaries or read up beautiful soul, lost too young. My favorite Artist.”
