Keyshia Cole has a large tattoo on her upper left arm of a wooden stake driving into a heart.  It is surrounded by a star-shaped outline.  Most of the tattoo is done in grayscale, but there are drips of blood in red ink.

Though this tattoo may seem gruesome, it symbolizes faith and love.  “On my arm, I have a heart across a star, which symbolizes my religion, and the love I have all the time for everyone around me. The star behind it also symbolizes everything I am,” she told Urban Ink. “Three of [my tattoos] symbolize the faith I have and possess, and try to keep up everyday. I feel strongly and deeply that my faith got me here, that its how I accomplished my dreams. I feel my belief in god gave me the strength to leave Oakland, and to be successful at accomplishing the things Ive accomplished so far. Keeping all of that in mind always gives me strength.”

The red heart on Kelly Osbourne’s left pinkie finger is a matching tattoo with her ex-boyfriend Bert McCracken. The pair met in 2002 when Bert’s band The Used played on the Ozzfest Tour. Bert broke up with Kelly on Valentine’s Day in 2003, but expressed regret afterwards. “I’m such a dickhead. She’s the most important girlfriend I’ve ever had. We’re best friends,” he said. “I’m just not ready for a relationship, period, let alone a huge, public relationship. I just hope that someday I can maybe be with someone as good and perfect as she is.”

Amber Rose and her fiancé Wiz Khalifa have tattoos of each other’s names on their thumbs. His says “Amb” while hers is “Cam” for his real name Cameron Thomaz. It is surrounded by hearts on both sides.

Speaking of couple’s tattoos, Amber told Inked Magazine “Wiz and I did it, but we want to be together forever. So I guess really make sure you want to be with that person forever, and try to wait until you’re older, when you can make better decisions. I suggest getting a small tattoo, just in case you break up—then it’s an easy cover-up.” She has already learned that lesson once — she had the name “Ernest” tattooed on her arm for an old boyfriend when she was only 15 years old, but had the tattoo covered by the roses on her arm. Before getting it covered, she told Sirius radio “I learned alot from him so every time I look at that tattoo I know not to make the same mistakes.”

Amber is much more mature this time around and feels differently about the relationship. She tweeted “I want his name tatted on me a million times.”

The tiny heart on Lindsay Lohan’s left hand is a matching tattoo with ex-girlfriend Samantha Ronson. They got the tattoos together in June 2008, but E! reports that Lindsay had the tattoo done in white ink two years earlier. Lindsay got hers done over in black while Samantha got one to match. In 2011, Samantha covered her heart with a new tattoo, but Lindsay’s is still intact.

Hanna Beth Merjos has a collection of singular knuckle tattoos which have “girlier” themes.  On her left hand are a pink heart on her pinkie, a bow on her ring finger, and a diamond on her middle finger.  The heart is a matching tattoo with ex-boyfriend Trace Cyrus and it has the initials “tc” in the center.  After their breakup, Trace had the “HB” heart tattoo on his thumb filled in solid black.
