The tattoo on Nia Lovelis’ shoulder is a sweet tribute to her sister and Hey Violet bandmate Rena Lovelis. Below the daisy flower is “04.06.1998” for Rena’s birthday on April 6, 1998.
Lynn Gunn got the conifer tree on the back of her ankle as a matching tattoo with a group of people.
Bea Miller and fellow pop singer Kennedi got matching tattoos in March 2018 that say “it only couldve been what it was” with the text wrapping around their elbows. The two girls seem to have come up with this phrase on their own — perhaps it’s a lyric to a future song? It speaks to fate and destiny as well as the pointlessness of dwelling on things in the past that we can’t change.
Tattoo parlor Generation 8 Tattoo shared of a photo of Bea’s completed tattoo next to the paper that used as their template, where we can see that it printed out using a computer handwriting font similar to Daddy’s Hand with no apostrophe and no capital letters for a uniform look.
Nia Lovelis has a traditionally-shaded teapot tattoo on her right arm. She has tweeted about how this area on the inside of the elbow, referred to as the ditch, is her favorite tattoo location.
Nia Lovelis has a tattoo of geographical coordinates on the back of her right arm. The latitude and longitude numbers represent the location where her family is from in Sicily. She got this tattoo in April 2016.
Nia Lovelis got this stick-and-poke Saturn tattoo as a surprise for her mom. She showed off the new planet tattoo, which is located on the front of her hip, in a February 2016 twitter photo.
Nia Lovelis gave herself this stick-and-poke “X” tattoo on her hand when she was 17 years old. Technically it’s her first inking, but she doesn’t count it as a real tattoo. “I don’t consider the “x” an actual tattoo,” she tweeted. “I don’t even remember that it’s there 90% of the time.” (more…)
Olivia Holt’s first tattoo was a star on her right wrist which she got from artist Daniel Winter in April 2017.
The seven-pointed star, also known as a septagram or heptagram, has many meanings in different cultures. One of its oldest uses is to represent the seven planets which were known to ancient alchemists. A newer interpretation uses the star as compass representing the directions North, South, East, West, Above, Below, and Within. The symbol has been used in Christianity with multiple meanings: the seven days of creation, the perfection of God, warding off evil, and the the seven gifts of the Spirit – wisdom, understanding, counsel, might, knowledge, fear of the Lord, and delight in the Lord.
Woah Vicky has an uplifting Christian tattoo on the inside of her right elbow. Four minimalist red ink symbols – a sun, waves, mountains, and a cross – represent the lyrics “There is hope, should oceans rise and mountains fall, He’ll never fail” from Hillsong United’s song “Take Heart.” Artist Noel Shiveley designed the symbols which are a popular tattoo.
