Ariel Winter has a tattoo of roman numerals “X.III.MMXII” (which means “10.3.2012”) inside her left elbow. Ariel told ET: “This is October 3, 2012 which is the day that I moved in with my sister. It kind of started a new chapter of life for me, so it was really important.” Since then, Ariel has become legally emancipated from her abusive mother.
Her sister Shanelle decided to get the same tattoo to match Ariel’s in November 2016, while Ariel was getting a new tattoo of a spade on her wrist. Shanelle showed off their matching tattoos and wrote “1st tattoo matching sister one of the most important people in my life with a matching tattoo of a very special date.”
