Alessia Cara got a band-aid tattoo on the back of her upper left arm in June 2018. The band-aid relates to her new music and seems to be a symbol of this album cycle, as she added a band-aid to her beanie girl logo. The lead single “Growing Pains” from her upcoming sophomore album includes the lyrics “No band-aids for the growing pains.” There may be other references as well–we’ll have to wait and see!
In March 2017 Grimes got a series of mystical symbols hand-poked on her left palm by artist Grace Neutral, who captioned her photo “Spells for Elves.”
On her index finger is the alchemy symbol for the planet Jupiter (♃), which is associated with thinking and learning.
We have not been able to identify the other symbols, which may be custom designs. Magical sigils can be created by combining the letters into a unique design.
The lines at the center of her palm bear some resemblance to the letter E in the old Irish Ogham alphabet, but it doesn’t have the same bend at the bottom.
Sherri DuPree Bemis got a chest tattoo in July 2018 featuring a rose and the words “up all night.” As a mother of three, her kids often keep her up at night. She was inspired by an illustration of a tattooed mom wearing a nursing bra, but rather than getting that design on her she got a tattoo similar to one that the cartoon mother has. She wrote on her instagram:

When I saw @drawingsbynicole’s ‘Up All Night’ art (swipe for it), I totally connected with it and wanted to get a piece inspired by it; As always, @jwhitttattooer was able to interpret it perfectly and create this beautiful design. ?

Lea Michele covered up the old “Our City, Our Love” tattoo on her right foot with three blue butterflies.
Sia has a green ink tattoo on her right index finger which says “RADGICAL™”. She included the trademark symbol because she made up the word, which is a combination of rad and magical.
Lena Dunham has a dog tattoo on her right side.
Liane V has two lines of writing tattooed on the right side of her rib cage.
Sia had her ex-husband Erik Anders Lang’s first name tattooed on the undersides of her fingers. Each letter of “ERIK” is on a different finger in a different color ink. He had a matching tattoo saying “SIA” in the same spot.
They were married from 2014 to 2016 but unfortunately they are no longer together, telling People: “After much soul searching and consideration we have made the decision to separate as a couple. We are, however, dedicated to remaining friends. There will be no further comment.” Sia keeps her personal life private and hasn’t said much about the marriage or the divorce.
Asian Doll has an ample flower design tattoo on her stomach.
Monica has a large tattoo on her right thigh of purple, blue, and red roses which includes the names of her two sons — “Romelō” on the top and “Rodney” on the bottom.
