Jesy Nelson got this tattoo of a feather and eye on her left forearm in August 2015. She visited the studio of famed tattoo artist Bang Bang in New York City. “Always wanted to be tattooed by the amazing @bangbangnyc and I finally did yesterday,” she wrote on instagram.

Jesy Nelson got this fairy tale inspired tattoo on the inside of her left arm for her boyfriend Jake Roche from the band Rixton. It says “Once upon a time” in a storybook-style gothic font. “It’s really cringe, but I recently had this done,” she told Fabulous magazine. “When me and Jake first got together… before I’d fall asleep he’d tell me a little fairytale story about how we got together. So it’s really cringe, but it’s cute.”
Lily Allen has a tattoo of a goofy buck-toothed smiley face on the outside of her left ankle.

Sarah Snyder had the initials “JNS” tattooed in red ink on her left thigh. This is was the first of a collection of tattoos on this leg. It was made by celebrity-favorite tattoo artist Jon Boy at West 4 Tattoo on September 22, 2016.
Tove Lo added new ink to her collection of tattoos with this huge lynx on the back of her hand. Lynxes are her favorite animal and “Lo” means “lynx” in her native language Swedish. The singer-songwriter, whose real name is Ebba Tove Elsa Nilsson, explains how the nickname came about in a YouTube vlog:
Basically there was a lynx in a zoo that was named Tova and I fell in love with it as a kid. So after that my family and relatives starting calling me Tove Lo. I think I kind of stuck with that name because I wanted it to be me and at the time I didn’t know anyone else who had the same. So I kept it as a writer and it then it just felt natural to keep it as a solo artist. It feels like my spirit animal just because it’s been one of my favorite animals since I was so little.
She visted artist Alex McWatt, founder of Three Kings Tattoo in New York City, while on tour with Maroon 5 in September 2016. She didn’t think too much about the specific details of the tattoo, but she wanted it on her microphone-holding hand so that it would be very visible.
Most people would stress about where and when and why to get a tattoo because it is for life. I honestly did not think about it too much. I just figured it would be so nice with the little tassels on the ears. And it’s my mic hand so I figured it would look cool. (more…)

Nia Lovelis got an exclamation point tattoo on her left wrist.
Lights has a tattoo on her right hand which says “awake and dreaming” in cursive letters. She got it done in April 2016 at the same time as her Midnight Machines panther tattoo, both by artist Derek Lewis. In a November 2015 tweet, she wrote “Most of my dreaming is done lying awake.”
Lights has a tattoo on her right forearm of the panther from her Midnight Machines album cover. Midnight Machines is the acoustic companion to her album Little Machines, and she has the logo for Little Machines tattooed behind her each. She got the panther tattooed by artist Derek Lewis in April 2016, right before the start of the Midnight Machines tour in support of the acoustic EP. “I’m ready for the Midnight Machines tour now,” she wrote on instagram.
