Kreayshawn’s very first tattoo is the ice cream cone on the left side of her neck. She says: “I decided to get my first tattoo while at the tattoo shop when my sister was getting hers. I was like, They are tattooing 15-year-old kids–I’m down! It’s my favorite because it’s so old. It doesn’t look like any of my other tattoos because they are all so bright and vibrant and it’s weathered.” On the opposite side of her neck is a Mickey Mouse glove. She also has writing on the back of her neck, but I can’t decipher what it says.
On Kreayshawn’s left wrist are a pink diamond and the word “Libra.” She was born on September 24, 1989, making Libra her zodiac sign. To date, these are the only tattoos on her left arm.
Juliet Simms got this tattoo of a rose on the right side of her stomach in September 2012. (more…)
In May 2014, Lights got this tattoo of a retro-style rocketship as a tribute to her daughter Rocket Wild Bokan. It’s on her right thigh next to the portrait of her husband Beau Bokan. Written on the ship is “Player 3” to symbolize that Rocket is the third member of their family and “02-15-2014” for Rocket’s birthday: February 15th 2014.
Lights has a colorful tattoo on her upper thigh of a World of Warcraft character surrounded by flowers. “It’s a portrait of the alliance king from World of Warcraft, King Varian. He’s like my celebrity crush. I also kinda mutated his face to look like my fiancé [Beau Bokan].
Lights has a tattoo on the inside of her upper left arm of a Final Fantasy-inspired female character. “She’s kind of a beast master. She looks a bit Final Fantasy-esque. Another sort of female warrior empowerment thing that makes me feel cool and strong.”
Lights has a tiger on her upper left arm which is colored in blue to mimic one found in the World of Warcraft games. “This is like a Siberian tiger right here, which is also the spectral tiger mount from World of Warcraft, which is a rare mount which I don’t have.”
Lights has a lion on her left elbow. She has a song called “Lions” and admires them as an animal. “I’ve always thought lions were the epitome of beauty and strength and power,” she says.
Lions are also tied to memories of her childhood. “My mom used to sit there in bed and read us the Narnia series growing up. And Aslan [the lion character in the books] represented something really great. It’s just kinda grace and power all in one.”
Rather than covering the old black ink heart and banner tattoo on her left forearm, Lights had it incorporated into a large and colorful new tattoo. It is a coat of arms which she designed to represents different aspects of her life. On the left side of the shield is Jesus’ name in Hebrew and and on the right side are the initials “EPVP” for her parents’ names Eric Poxleitner and Virginia Poxleitner. Planets, a raygun, and music notes reflect her outer space alter-ego Captain Lights. A lion and a griffin are on the sides crushing a dragon on the bottom.
