Angelina Jolie recently added an ancient Buddhist Yant tattoo down her right shoulder blade.
The mystical ink was done by a former Thai monk Ajarn Noo Kanpai who flown from Bangkok to Siem Reap in Cambodia, where Angelina was filming. It was applied using steel rods mounted with a surgical steel needle – more accurate than a tattoo gun, but also much more painful.

In 2007, Rihanna got a Sanskrit prayer going down her right hip. The tattoo was supposed to translate to “forgiveness, honesty, suppression and control”, a quote from the Sanatana Dharma. Unfortunately, the tattoo was misspelled and translated to “long suffering, truthfulness, self-restraint, inward calm, fear and fearlessness” instead. In addition to the incorrect translation, the text of her tattoo is also missing the rest of the original prayer, which reads “pleasure, pain, birth, death.”

Hailey Baldwin hit up celebrity tattoo artist, Jon Boy, in NYC with BFF Kendall Jenner on Tuesday June 22, 2016 to get a tattoo.
Her new ink has the letters “P” and “R” on her left index finger, and the letters “A” and “Y” on her right index finger.

She first visited Malta when she three years old and says it’s “one of my favourite places in the world.” Hundreds of her second cousins still live there and she’s gone there for occasions such as a family wedding.
The British singer-songwriter had her first performance in Malta at the Isle of MTV festival in June 2018. She told TVM that the language is so sentimental to her that just hearing a taxi driver talk reminded her of her Maltese-speaking grandmother.
This is Ella Eyre’s only tattoo. She has said that she is “done with tattoos” and doesn’t want any others because of how much she loves this one. “One is enough, means too much to overshadow with another,” she tweeted.

She told Urban Ink: “I always tell people that the praying hands tattoo is about praying to escape. The symbol is the broken shackles on the arms. And you know, with the group I was in (Xscape) and going through a break-up. It’s a lot to deal with. So that was my first tattoo, so it symbolizes a lot and it means a lot to me.”
