Miley Cyrus and her friend Cheyne Thomas gave each other homemade stick-and-poke smiley face tattoos in July 2014. The simple design is located on the inside of her left ankle. Judging for the pictures, it seems like Cheyne did a better job on Miley’s than she did on his!
In July 2015, Miley Cyrus got friendship tattoos with Katy Weaver. The pair had a few matching tattoos already, so this time they got their nicknames for each other. Miley got a tattoo on the back of her left upper arm which says “KATZ” as a play on Katy’s name. Katy’s tattoo is on her right forearm and has her pet name for Miley: “MEOWTZ.” Miley placed her tattoo close to her “BIEWTY” tattoo which is another nickname for another friend, Cheyne Thomas. Both tattoos have the same style of simple capital letters.
At some point Miley decided “KATZ” just wasn’t cutesy enough for her and added a “Y” to the end so that now it says “KATZY.”
This tattoo of a tooth on Miley Cyrus’s right elbow is one of many matching tattoos which she shares with The Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne and his girlfriend Katy Weaver, who are two of Miley’s closest friends. All three got their tattoo in April 2015 but each on different body parts.
Wayne’s version of the tattoo is on the top of his foot and has a letter “K” in the center which is presumably for Katy. It’s placed next to a tattoo of Miley’s “MC” smiley face logo. Katy’s is on the back of her upper left arm.
Miley Cyrus got matching “BIEWTY” tattoos in April 2015 with her assistant and long-time friend Cheyne Thomas. Hers is on the back of her left upper arm while his is on the back of his wrist. “Biew Biew” is Miley’s nick name for Cheyne.
Miley Cyrus has a tattoo on the back side of her forearm that says “LEETLE” — a slangy misspelling of “Little.” We’re not certain who or what this tattoo refers to, as Miley has called two different dogs her “leetle gal” in social media posts. We do know that Miley’s friend Katy Weaver has a matching tattoo in the same spot.
During a trip to Australia in April 2016, Miley Cyrus got a matching tattoo with her future sister in-law and two friends. All four women got the same wave design on different body parts. Miley’s is on the outside of her right foot.
Actress Elsa Pataky got hers on the side of her middle finger. Her husband Chris Hemsworth and Miley’s fiance Liam Hemsworth are brothers. It’s not clear what sort of relationship Miley has to the other two participants in the impromptu tattoo session, April Munro and Kalani Miller, who both got the design on their wrists.

In June 2008, Rihanna got the date “11-4-86” in Roman numerals (XI-IV-LXXXVI) inked on her left shoulder. It’s her best friend and assistant Melissa’s birth date, and Melissa got the same tattoo with Rihanna’s birth date as well.
In August 2006, Rihanna got a tattoo of a star outline inside of her left ear. According to reports Rihanna said:
“My best friend from Barbados was here so we had to do something crazy. She got one too.”
