Juliet Simms has writing which goes all the way around her upper right arm. It is lyrics from her husband Andy Biersack’s band Black Veil Brides: “When I hear your cries, Praying for life, I will be there” from the song “Saviour.” She first showed off this tattoo in October 2011 at the same time as her “Andy” tattoo.
This large piece on the front of her left thigh was inspired by the Major League song Need I Remind You and states the lyrics “I wish time was on our side…” The thigh piece includes an hourglass, roses and an antique pocket watch.
The ink was done by Brisbane tattooist Tilly Dee, who designed the piece and also created an original painting with the same artwork. (more…)

Krysta Cameron has tow music-related tattoos on the inside of her right arm. Below her elbow is a red heart surrounded by the words “All is full of love,” which is the title of a Björk song. On her wrist are the words “Against Demons” and a sand-dollar (which looks like a star in a circle) from a Radiohead album art. This was one of her earlier tattoos and has a much heavier black look than her more recent work, however the sloppy look of the writing and image is a reflection of the original artwork.
Dev got a large tattoo on her right thigh in January 2014 from artist Norm Will Rise. It says “Young Go Getta / Never Lose Hope,” which is a line from her song “Honey Dip.”
Juliet Simms has “I’d rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints” written along her left wrist and hand. This is a line from Billy Joel’s song “Only The Good Die Young.”

Jess Bowen only has one tattoo that I know of. It is a treble clef with the words “Sing While You Can” on her right shoulder blade. Jess is the drummer for the band The Summer Set.
Sierra Kusterbeck is a big fan of Lady Gaga, and this tattoo bleeding tooth is inspired by her song “Teeth” which contains the lyrics “show me your teeth.”
Scout Taylor-Compton has three separate quotes tattooed on her left shoulder blade. She started out with just the top two lines, which are lyrics from the Mumford & Sons song “Awake My Soul.” They say “In these bodies we will live, in these bodies we will die. Where you invest your love, you invest your life.”
Next she added the inspirational phrase “anyone who thinks sunshine is pure happiness / has never danced in the rain.”
The final quotation that she got tattooed is “Darlin’, forever is a long, long time / and time has a way of changin’ things” which comes from the Disney Movie The Fox and the Hound.
Juliet Simms has the words “I carry the fire” tattooed along her right forearm. Juliet says: “’I carry the fire’ means in our family that you carry the passion and that you are essentially a leader. You know, ‘I’m carrying the fire so follow me.’” She got this tattoo in the summer of 2010 and later released a song called “Carry The Fire” on the 2011 Automatic Loveletter acoustic album The Kids Will Take Their Monsters On.
