Four of Maggie Lindemann’s five knuckle tattoos are astronomy-related, so this dagger on her thumb seems out of place.  Maggie explained in a tweet that this tattoo isn’t connected to the others: “I’ve wanted a knife for a while but didn’t know where to put it, so I saw someone with one on their thumb and fell in love.”  She did however put dots below her nail like the tattoos on all of her other fingers.  She got this tattoo from artist Romeo Lacoste on October 16, 2016 at the same time as the star on her pinkie.  With all five fingers covered, she announced that her hand is now complete — but she’s still got room on her lower knuckles if she changes her mind!

The knife represents Maggie’s interest in blood and gore. “I’ve always been so fascinated with horror, murders, etc. so I felt it was appropriate,” she tweeted.

On October 16, 2016 Maggie Lindemann got this star tattoo on her right pinkie finger to complete her set of outer-space knuckle tattoos.  She also added one tiny little dot below her fingernail.

Although this tattoo fits in with her celestial theme, it has a unique meaning of its own, representing the stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.  “The star is because when I was younger I always wanted to sing, and I wanted to go to Hollywood,” she told Pop Flash. “And then it just happened to go with this system that I have.”

I don’t even know the meanings behind my hand tattoos. They don’t all have meanings….The planets I just thought were cool. I do like the planets, I do like outer space and all that. I’m really into the moon. So I guess that’s why.

On August 8, 2016, Maggie Lindemann  showed of a new tattoo on the inside of her left elbow which says “not afraid” in red ink.  She appears to have scars from self-harming on this arm just below the tattoo. She has opened up in the past about her struggles with depression and suicidal thoughts.  “Suicide isn’t a fucking joke,” she wrote in a tweet back in July 2015.  In another tweet, which has since been deleted but is archived in this article, she wrote “suicide is something I’ve struggled with since I was little. It’s been a thought all my life.  [People] don’t understand how big of a deal it is.”

In separate set of tweets from March 2016, she wrote “depression is a very real thing. it’s not just being “sad” it’s way deeper than that. it’s a crunching, suffocating disease and it’s not something that shouldn’t be taken lightly. suicidal thoughts aren’t ok, if you have thoughts of killing yourself PLEASE tell someone you trust and if you don’t think you can, tell me and I’ll do everything I can to be there for you and get you help. I hate seeing so many people hurting so bad. I have been there before and I can tell you it gets better. It may take awhile but I promise you it does.”
