Kreayshawn celebrated Mother’s Day in May 2014 by getting a tattoo of her son’s name “Desmond” on the side of her neck. It’s placed above the ice cream cone which was her first tattoo and is one of her favorites. She has another tattoo just behind her ear as well.
On the inside of her arm, Kreayshawn had the name of her former best friend “Delila,” but it’s been covered to say “Don’t Panic.”
Lights has a tattoo on her right hand which says “awake and dreaming” in cursive letters. She got it done in April 2016 at the same time as her Midnight Machines panther tattoo, both by artist Derek Lewis. In a November 2015 tweet, she wrote “Most of my dreaming is done lying awake.”
Lights has a tattoo across both of her forearms of lyrics translated into German. It reads “Jetzt und immer die Segen von der Vater und bleibst Unschuldig bis Er kommt” which translates roughly to “Now and always have the blessing of the father and remain blameless until the end,” though it’s not quite grammatically correct. Lights has said she likes tattoo because the German word for “father” which is “Vater” makes her think of Darth Vader from Star Wars.
Juliet Simms has writing which goes all the way around her upper right arm. It is lyrics from her husband Andy Biersack’s band Black Veil Brides: “When I hear your cries, Praying for life, I will be there” from the song “Saviour.” She first showed off this tattoo in October 2011 at the same time as her “Andy” tattoo.
In June 2007, Ashlee Simpson added the number 3 beneath “Love” on her wrist. Ashlee and her assistant Nicole got these together as friendship tattoos. Nicole wrote to Ashlee-Star.com: “To answer your question regarding what the 3 represents on Ash’s wrist, we both got one together because before she has to perform, I’ve always kissed her wrist 3 times for good luck with love. It’s basically a count down for her to be mentally & spiritually ready to perform. It’s a friendship/sister thing between us.”
In August 2005, Ashlee Simpson added two new tattoos at the same time to celebrate the completion of her second album I Am Me. One of these tattoos was the word “Love” on her wrist. Ashlee explained the meaning of this tattoo to People Magazine: “I got ‘love’ because for me love is the most important thing. So I can give people love.”
Was this tattoo inspired by her love for a boyfriend? Ashlee says not. “No, it’s not for anyone,” she told About.com. She also joked about why she chose to place it on her wrist: “It’s like Spider-Man, like you shoot love to people [said while shooting her wrist forward like Tobey Maguire does in the “Spider-Man” movies].”
Jahan Yousaf tattooed the words “One More Night” on her left shoulder and then later added shading and swirls connecting it to her neck tattoo. Eventually she added roses all the way around her neck which fill in the space between the tattoos on her neck and back and make it more cohesive. She has said that she can no longer count how many tattoos she has because they are all like one.
Of all the many tattoos that Juliet Simms has for her husband Andy Biersack, the most obvious is his name “Andy” on her upper right arm. Photos of this tattoo surfaced in October 2011.
Jenna Ushkowitz has a cursive tattoo with the message “love is always better” on her left forearm. She got inked at West 4 Tattoo by Jon Boy.
