In February 2015, Lynn Gunn got a matching triangle tattoo with PVRIS’ touring drummer Justin Nace and their merch girl Drew Elizabeth Wille. Lynn and Justin both got the tattoo on their left thumb while Drew’s is on her wrist.
The inverted triangle with a line through it is the elemental symbol for “Earth,” which is one of the four basic elements in alchemy along with air, fire, and water.
Ash Costello completed her hand tattoo in April 2015. She got “1031” on her knuckles to represent October 31st. Halloween is her favorite holiday, but it’s really become more of a lifestyle for her. Artist Ryan Ashley Malarkey also added swirls all around Ash’s existing “Dead” tattoo, connecting the swirls to the new numbers with teardrop-shaped beads.

Miley Cyrus got matching tattoos of her Happy Hippie Foundation smiley face logo with a group of pals in November 2016. Artist Daniel Winter stopped by Miley’s Los Angeles house to do the inkings — then Miley grabbed the tattoo gun and gave him his own.
Among the group of friends who got the tattoo was an Oklahoma City vintage dealer known as The Junk Fairy who has sourced many of Miley’s whacky outfits. She writes:

Miley’s super-tall dancer Amazon Ashley, close friend Katy Weaver, and photographer Jonce were also part of the group.
The design that they all got is a smiley face with two letter “H”s for eyes. It is the logo for the Happy Hippie Foundation, a non-profit which Miley Cyrus founded to help combat homelessness among LQBTQ youth.
Grimes showed off a new finger tattoo in a November 2016 instagram photo. Artist Delphine Noiztoy created a geometric blackwork design, covering her whole middle finger with concentric shield shapes.

Ash Costello has a large portrait tattoo on her right thigh inspired by the character Captain Spaulding from Rob Zombie’s horror movies House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil’s Rejects.
She first talked about her plans for this tattoo in an October 2013 tweet: “I decided that my next tattoo will be Captain Spaulding…. But what epic Spaulding quote should I get…” However it wasn’t until much later that she actually got it inked. Artist Joey Remmers did the tattoo in a few sessions in February and March 2015.
Ash Costello’s second addition to her right hand tattoo was this ribbon bow above her previous “Dead” tattoo. The tails of the bow fade behind the existing letters, trying both tattoos together. True to Ash’s feminine goth aesthetic, at the center of the bow is a skull in the center with an inverted cross on its forehead.
Louisa Johnson and her boyfriend Daniel Elliot have matching tattoos of their own birthdays in Roman Numerals. Louisa first revealed the tattoo on the top of her left shoulder in February 2016. The tattoo says “XI-I-XCVIII” for her own birthday January 11, 1998 (11-1-98). Daniel’s tattoo is on the left side of his chest and says “XXII-XI-XCV” for his birthday November 22, 1995 (22-11-95).
Louisa Johnson has a simple outline of a triangle tattooed behind her right ear.
Chloe Ferry has a tattoo of a mustache on the side of her right middle finger.
