On the back of Sherri DuPree-Bemis’ upper left arm is the match and flame design which appears on the cover of the single “Burn A Miracle” by her husband Max Bemis’ band Say Anything. She got this tattoo in March 2012 at the same time as the “Say Anything” name next to it. (more…)

In May 2011, Sherri DuPree-Bemis had her own drawing of Texas turned into a tattoo by Alice Kendall at Infinity Tattoo in Portland, OR. There is a moon smiling over a house which is a reference to the Eisley lyrics “mr. moon shines down on my home” from the song “Mr. Moon.” The tattoo expresses her love for her home state–the DuPree family lives in Tyler, TX and Sherri now owns a house there with her husband Max Bemis. The drawing is quite intricate and includes a rabbit, deer, butterflies, raspberry, strawberries, pine cone, pine trees and flowers. (more…)
Sherri DuPree-Bemis’ first large tattoo was of a girl with a guitar, which she got in June 2010. The character is in the style of a Blythe doll, which Sherri collects, and it appears to modeled after Sherri herself. Sherri is a guitarist and the cartoon also has a similar clothing style with a frilly dress, mary jane shoes and knee socks. Coming out of the girl’s neck is a cord which says “Bemis,” Sherri’s married name. (more…)
Jessica Plummer got an outline of an elephant tattooed on the inside of her right upper arm in November 2013. Artist Baba Austin started work on the design in February 2011 and completed it in May 2011.
“Before this one I would have said that tattoos don’t hurt, I really like the feeling, but this one hurt so bad. I don’t know if I’m like turning into a pansy. A good friend of mine Baba came up to me and offered me a free tattoo for Warped Tour. It’s like the biggest thing ever. I know this doesn’t make sense but I didn’t realize it was so big when he free-handed it, and then he started going and I was like ‘oh wow, I just ended up with half a sleeve and I don’t even know how.'”
Ash Costello got this tattoo above her right elbow of Mickey Mouse with her mother’s name “Sandra D” in July 2010. She writes “Mickey of course! Old-school pie eyes & my mom’s name, Sandra D. Innocent & virtuous, she raised me right.” She has said that her mom before more accepting of her inkings after this one.
