Tay Jardine got her first tattoo in December 2012. She and her friend Sam Panagakos got matching tattoos on their wrist of Simba from The Lion King. The tattoos were done at Planet New York Tattoo in Poughkeepsie, NY.
She explained the meaning on her twitter: “it’s a reminder for me to stay grounded ‘remember who you are'”
Tay is a big fan of Disney movies and The Lion King is one of her favorites. The particular image that they chose is not the character Simba himself, but Rafiki’s drawing of Simba from the film.
Maja Ivarsson’s largest tattoo — and also her favorite — is a woman in a catsuit on her right forearm. “I love pop art. This is Modesty Blaise and she’s like a British cartoon from the ’60s and she’s, like, a super cool agent with big tits and big guns and she’s super hot. I’m a big fan of her and you know, it’s a cartoon, but it’s a pretty awesome tattoo,” she told Prick Magazine.
Maja Ivarsson has a simple anchor tattoo on the outside of her left forearm as a tribute to her father, who was a sailor.
