Marzia Bisognin

Marzia Bisognin aka “CutiePieMarzia” has a tiny crescent moon tattoo on her left wrist, which she got done in July 2014. She explained on her instagram that it has a lot of meanings for her, but didn’t divulge the details:

“Here it is! I have been thinking about getting a new tattoo for almost 3 years now, but something kept stopping me. Yesterday night I realized there was NO reason for me not to do it, so first thing in the morning, I went and got it. Honestly, until yesterday night I had no idea what I wanted to get, but then it suddenly hit me: I wanted to get a small moon on the side of my wrist. I have plenty of reasons why I wanted a moon inked on me, so it seemed almost silly to me how I have never thought about it before! Anyway, hope you like it, this little guy is going to be with me forever ;) PS. No it didn’t hurt at all.”

Melanie Martinez

In February 2015 Melanie Martinez got this tattoo on her right forearm of a blue cartoon rabbit with a heart on it’s head.  Melanie shared with Fuse the story of this tattoo, which is inspired by a pet rabbit which was her first pet as a kid. She included a knife in the tattoo below the rabbit’s head because her pet was decapitated by another rabbit.

This one I got for my bunny. It was actually my first pet ever. And then I got a dog and my parents told me I couldn’t have a bunny and a dog, so we all decided to give the bunny away to a friend of a friend who already had a bunny. So we thought “It’ll have a friend, that’s amazing, that’s awesome.” So they left my bunny and their bunny in the backyard unattended for like four hours. They ended up finding their bunny in their neighbor’s backyard and my bunny’s head was in their yard.

Fans have noted a resemblance to the character Bonnie the Bunny from the video game Five Nights at Freddy’s, though it’s not known if this was intentional. (more…)

Melanie Martinez has a tattoo on her upper left arm of a wedge of swiss cheese on a red heart with scalloped lace trim. Artist Josh Barg tattooed Melanie along with members of her band while they were on tour in Michigan in February 2015.

Most of Melanie’s tattoos remind her of things that she loves, even if they are a bit silly.  This tattoo is simply because she loves cheese.  She told Fuse: “I love cheese.  I’m obsessed with cheese!  I’m like the biggest dairy queen in the world.” She also has a tattoo of a milk carton on her leg. Catt Sadler

Catt Sadler has a tattoo of two carat symbols > < on her right wrist which symbolize living in the present moment. In a post on her blog she explained its meaning:

“The ink on my right wrist isn’t a greater than less than sign, no. Truth is I saw this on a model at a photo shoot about 5 years ago. She explained that what it symbolized was a reminder to stay in the moment. The past, to my left if I’m staring at my tat, is the past. The future, to my right, is not promised, and may never even arrive. All that we are given is this very moment, and there in lies the gift of life. Focus on now. Be in this very breath. See the people before you. Quiet your mind and focus on *here* and *now*. I especially cherish that I can see this ink all day every day, as often as I see my hands really. It’s a gentle and permanent reminder to me. It’s especially sweet because I got inked with a dear friend of mine who got it in the exact same place. Love you LZ.”

Catt Sadler

Catt Sadler has a silhouette of a dove tattooed on her left forearm, just below the inside of her elbow. In red are are the initials of her two sons: “AK” for Arion Kyle and “AW” for Austin William. She got the tattoo after her divorce from the boys’ father Kyle Boyd in 2008. The dove is a traditional symbol of peace.

Catt explained the tattoo’s meaning in a post on her blog:
“The tattoo on my left forearm came shortly after my divorce. I’ve always loved birds and the dove to me has really always represented peace & tranquility. That time in my life was especially turbulent and coming out of that darkness really required a resilience on my part – a commitment to peace and love and forgiveness. I couldn’t think of anything more perfect than a dove and my children’s initials in red. Arion Kyle, my baby and Austin William, my first born.”
