In April 2012 Ruby Rose got a tattoo of Polly Esther from the anime TV show Samurai Pizza Cats (Kyattou Ninden Teyandee). This is the third character on her forearm and was last piece she needed to complete the full sleeve on her right arm. She now has only small spaces left on this arm.

Ruby Rose paid tribute to the FX animated comedy television series Archer with this tattoo on the right side of her stomach. On November 18, 2013 she tweeted about her plans for the tattoo, writing “I love Lorde and Sterling Archer. Forever and ever. Need to get an Archer tattoo, weird If I got a 16 year old lorde tattoo tho.#boundaries” One day later she took the plunge and visited the famous Los Angeles tattoo parlor Shamrock Social Club where artist Louie Perez put her idea into ink. The tattoo depicts the show’s title character Sterling Archer with his arm outstretched holding a gun.
Ruby Rose got a tattoo of British comic book character Tank Girl on the left side of her back in February 2011. The tattoo is done in a more realistic style than most of her others and she was very impressed by artist Bang Bang’s work. “Can you believe it is possible to tattoo like this,” she tweeted.
Ash Costello has a large portrait tattoo on her right thigh inspired by the character Captain Spaulding from Rob Zombie’s horror movies House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil’s Rejects.
She first talked about her plans for this tattoo in an October 2013 tweet: “I decided that my next tattoo will be Captain Spaulding…. But what epic Spaulding quote should I get…” However it wasn’t until much later that she actually got it inked. Artist Joey Remmers did the tattoo in a few sessions in February and March 2015.
Melanie Martinez has a tattoo on her left calf of the children’s book character Madeline along with a quote from the series. In the stories, Madeline lives in a Catholic boarding school in Paris. She and her schoolmates always say a prayer before they eat their meals: “We love our bread, we love our butter, but most of all, we love each other.” It is a reminder that the people in our lives are the most important thing. Melanie included this prayer in her tattoo, which features Madeline holding a loaf of bread and is surrounded by little pink hearts. It was inked by artist Nat G at Good Luck Tattoo in January 2016.
Melanie Martinez got a pair of tattoos on the back of her calves by artist Shon Lindauer in October 2015 featuring two characters from the 1936 Disney Silly Symphonies short film Elmer Elephant. In the cartoon, Elmer picks flowers and brings them to Tillie Tiger for her birthday party. The tattoo on Melanie’s right leg shows Elmer looking bashful after giving Tillie the bouquest. Elmer is made fun of by the other animals for his long nose and tries to hide it in order to fit in, but Tillie is nice to him. Elmer eventually saves the day by rescuing Tillie from her burning house using his nose as a hose. (more…)
This tattoo of a cute little tiger cub on Melanie Martinez’s right calf goes with the elephant tattoo on her opposite leg. The Tillie Tiger character appears in the 1936 Disney Silly Symphonies cartoon short Elmer Elephant, where she is Elmer’s love interest. She doesn’t judge him for his long nose like the other animals. The tattoo shows Tilling holding a bouquet a flowers which were a birthday gift from Elmer. Melanie got both tattoos done by artist by artist Shon Lindauer at High Seas Tattoo Parlor in October 2015. (more…)

On Kreayshawn’s upper arm is a cartoon based on the Disney character Goofy, which is in memory of a deceased friend. She says: “Goofy is for my friend ‘Goofy’ who died. His name was Tommy, and I got the Goofy tattoo for him because he always kept it goofy.”
