Kristin Bauer van Straten has a large orchid tattoo stretching from her right upper arm onto her back. She told Tattoo magazine that she ended up with the floral design because she wanted “something light, feminine, and timeless.”
Leona Lewis got the flower tattoo on her left side as a tribute to her boyfriend Dennis Jauch. “I was in Berlin with my boyfriend and it seemed like the right thing to do,” she told Fabulous, “I wanted to mark the moment, so I went into a tattoo parlour and had a little flower done. It represents starting afresh, something blooming.”
Kelly Osbourne has a pair of blue skull and crossbone tattoos on the top of her feet. They are a male and female — the left skull has a yellow lighting bolt on the forehead while the right has a red bow. Her mother Sharon Osbourne was reportedly angry when Kelly got the ink in 2003, especially because it lacked any meaning: “I was just like, ‘No, no more tattoos. And skull and crossbones – like, what does it mean… you’re a pirate? What is this indicating? What message does this send out?’ She says, ‘Nothing.'” Now Kelly agrees with her mom. In 2010 she told Anderson Cooper “They’re stupid, I know,” and said that she regrets most of her tattoos.
Kelly Osbourne has a pair of wings tattooed on her shoulder blades in reddish ink. Later she added writing between the wings which says “Je Vous Aime la Maman,” French for “I Love You Mom.”
Lil Debbie has a bunch of grapes on her hip with a banner that states the obvious and simply says “GRAPES.” She thinks this was her first tattoo — but she can’t remember! (more…)
Amber Rose used to have a lucky four-leaf clover tattooed on the front of her right shoulder. The green and yellow shamrock lacks a traditional black outline. It was eventually covered by the expansion of her tattoo sleeve.
Scout Taylor-Compton loves the Disney movie The Little Mermaid so much that she got a tattoo of Ariel. She explained to Current.com: I am deep, deep, deep fan of Little Mermaid. Yeah I know, childish. I love Ariel so much, she completes me, so much that I got her tattooed on my wrist. Everywhere in my house is Ariel-themed. Cher Lloyd and her husband Craig Monk got matching tattoos in May 2012, at the same that Cher got his name tatted on her wrist. The couple both have the suits of a deck of cards — hearts, spades, diamonds, and clubs — on the backs of their right wrists. Craig also has a tattoo of Cher’s name on his forearm.
Cher told us that she didn’t want to get tattoos on the outsides of her arms because she thought that it was more feminine to do just the inside, but I guess she made an exception for the wrist!
Avril Lavigne had a tiny blue star tattoo on her right elbow, shown here in 2006 and 2007, before she covered it with a slightly larger black star. It is on top of a freckle.
