Sophie Turner got this infinite triangle tattoo on her upper left arm in July 2018. The geometric design looks like three overlapping triangles but it is actually made up of one continuous line that weaves over and under itself. It resembles a minimalist version of both the Viking valknut symbol and the classic impossible triangle illusion.
Adding to the cryptic tattoo are three lowercase Greek letters on each corner of the triangle: lambda (λ) on top, epsilon (έ) on the right, and phi (φ) on the left.
This is a matching tattoo that she shares with her brother Will. We don’t know why they chose these letters, but their tattoo artist Maxime Plescia-Buchi says that Sophie and Will designed the tattoo themselves.
Anastasia Karanikolaou aka “StassieBaby” has a tattoo on her right hip which is written in Greek as a tribute to her Greek heritage. It says “ΟΜΟΡΦΗ ΤΡΕΛΗ ΖΩΗ” which translates to “Crazy Beautiful Life.” The whole tattoo uses capital letters which are stacked vertically.
Vanessa Hanson has the Greek word “σωφροσύνη” (sofrosýni) tattooed on her left wrist. The word is an ancient Greek concept of an ideal of excellence of character and soundness of mind, which when combined in one well-balanced individual leads to other qualities, such as temperance, moderation, prudence and self-control.
Holly Hagan has Greek writing tattooed along her collarbone. It says “αγαπήστε τη ζωή εσείς ζωντανοί” which means “love the life you live.”
Samantha Hoopes has Greek writing on the back of her left forearm, near her elbow
