Sierra Kusterbeck is wearing the Betsey Johnson Dot Net Finger Hole Top ($68.00). She has a sports bra on underneath (seen here) and a denim vest on top, which make this transparent top less revealing.

In her new music video for “Smile,” Avril Lavigne wears the Party Crasher Dress from her own brand Abbey Dawn ($48), which has a neon colored wildcat screenprint. She accessorizes to match her green and black hair extensions by wearing her patent Dr. Martens Black Buttero 1B99 Boots ($130) with lime green laces and and lime green leopard print socks.

Dev is wearing the Skull Cut-Out Tee from Vans, which sells for $30.00 in their online store. It’s easy to make your own version — use tailor’s chalk or a washable marker to draw eye sockets, nostril openings, and tooth shapes onto the back of a t-shirt and then carefully cut them out with a pair of scissors. Here’s a tutorial to show you how:

Porcelain Black's "This Is What Rock N Roll Looks Like" music video
You might have heard of Porcelain Black already — the 25-year-old Detroit native, whose real name is Alaina Beaton, began releasing music on MySpace years ago under the name Porcelain and the Tramps. At that time she was known for her neon-colored hair and scene queen style, but now she has evolved into a more rock and roll image with a more pop sound, describing herself as a cross between Marilyn Manson and Britney Spears.
The rock/pop dichotomy is apparent in her debut single and video “This Is What Rock N Roll Looks Like” featuring Lil Wayne (watch the video). The song is produced by RedOne, the producer behind many of Lady Gaga’s hits, and mixes catchy pop beats with Alaina’s gruff vocals and rock attitude. This is the first of four posts where I’ll be breaking down all of the looks from the video, identifying some of the exact pieces, and showing you how to get an inspired look.
Porcelain Black first walks into the video with her black and white Cruella de Vil hair in curls pinned back with barrettes. She wears a puffy bright blue fur coat which she later takes off to reveal an embellished bodysuit and a mini skirt with clear vinyl side panels and garters.

Lights is wearing the Spray Logo White T-shirt ($22.00) from Golden Hearts Shine Forever, which she has cut the collar off of. The line is owned by her boyfriend Beau Bokan, lead singer of Blessthefall. They also sell a robot t-shirt (also in yellow) featuring a drawing done by Lights herself.

VersaEmerge’s record label Fueled By Ramen is really big on selling merchandise inspired by items that lead singer Sierra Kusterbeck has worn herself. I’ve already posted about their hair feathers and crystal necklace. Sierra has also worn the crossed arrow necklace, the black version of the vulture wristband, and they sell a pair of sunglasses similar to ones that she owns.
FBR’s latest Sierra-inspired product are these gold finish Arrow Earrings ($10.00) with a raised “V” and “E” on the arrowheads. Sierra has previously worn a silver arrow earring, but she posed for Fueled by ramen wearing the VersaEmerge version.

Hayley is wearing the Puzzle T-Shirt in ladies’ sizes ($12.00) from the band Lemuria. The picture in their webstore makes the t-shirt look brown, but the product description says that it is black like the one that Hayley is wearing. It is also available in black in men’s sizes for $10.00.
Lemuria is one of Hayley’s favorite bands, and Hayley wore another Lemuria t-shirt back in 2009.

At Radio 1’s Big Weekend Ellie Goulding wore a top from the small UK-based line Lovetits, run by sisters Molly and Alice Goddard. Lovetits makes sheer tops with sequined shapes covering the breasts. Ellie’s top is the black long sleeve with red sequin hearts, which can be ordered for £65. The top is similar in concept to Ellie’s glove top by Antipodium which is sheer with hands covering her breasts.
Ellie’s shorts are from London’s Bitching & Junkfood. The shorts are made from an old pair of Levi’s classic 501 jeans which have been cut off, distressed, and appliqued with leather-look cross patches. Her exact pair are sold out, but you can buy the same style with snake print crosses for £55 at Urban Outfitters UK or check out this tutorial on how to make your own pair.
