Arm Tattoos

Asia Argento

In May 2013, Asia Argento got this tattoo on her left forearm of the Patriarchal cross (☨) and “Firmeza” — a Portuguese word meaning firmness or stability.  It represents her steadfast belief in Christ. Both the cross and the writing are upside down so that they face inwards towards her when she looks at them.

She shared a photo of the tattoo along with a Portuguese hymn “Firmeza firmeza no amor / Firmeza firmeza aonde estou /Eu estou firme com meu Jesus / Eu estou firme nesta luz / Aonde estou” which translates to “Firmness firmness in love / Firmness steadfastness where I am / I am firm with my Jesus / I am firm in this light / Where I am”

SZA

SZA celebrated her debut studio album “Ctrl” by getting the title tattooed on her left forearm. The album was officially released on June 9, 2017 but SZA got the tattoo a few month prior.

Some of SZA’s die-hard fans have showed their devotion by getting their own “Ctrl” tattoos. One fan posted a picture of the tattoo that he got before the album was released and captioned it “I don’t listen yet but it already changed my life.”  SZA was so flattered that she reposted the picture and wrote “You’ve already changed mine. (got mines in the same spot too)”.

The album title “Ctrl” represents living in the present moment and just letting life happen without trying to control every little thing.

“It’s about analog and being at a time where we were brought information more slowly,” she told Complex. “Control is a concept, you think about getting away from analog, control is an illusion, you try and force it.”

Marnie Simpson

Marnie Simpson had the initial “R♡” with an outline of a heart inked on her right wrist in honor of her ex fiance Ricky Rayment. He had a matching “M♡” tattoo for her.

They split up in 2015 and she now regrets the whole relationship, telling MTV “I would go as far as saying it’s probably the biggest mistake I’ve ever made in my life.” In that February 2016 interview, she suggested that she might cover the tattoo with the name of her Geordie Shore co-star and boyfriend at the time Aaron Chalmers. Thankfully she didn’t get another regrettable tattoo. She ended up waiting a while and then getting it laser removed beginning in November 2017.

She would consider getting inked again in the future if someone special comes along, telling Star Magazine “I wouldn’t say getting a partner’s name tattooed on you is a mistake.”

Danielle Bregoli

Danielle Bregoli, the rebellious teen who coined the term “Cash Me Ousside, How Bow Dah?” during an appearance on the Dr Phil show, has a large flower tattoo on her right upper arm. The tattoo says “Family First,” which seems ironic considering that her disrespect for her mother is what landed her on TV in the first place.

She got the inking in March 2017 just before her 14th birthday. It’s shocking that any tattoo artist would do a tattoo so large on someone so young. In her home state of Florida, the legal minimum for all tattoos is 16 years old with parental consent and 18 without permission.

“So what I got a tattoo at 14, bitch I was wearing big earrings in 3rd grade, catch me ousside,” she tweeted.

Danielle responded to accusations that the tattoo is fake by posting a video in which she wipes at the tattoo with a wet paper towel to show that no ink comes off. It’s real. The tattoo looks decent at least, but we hope she doesn’t come to regret it.
