In April 2015, Marzia got this tattoo on her left side of a hand holding flowers. She showed off the fresh ink in an instagram photo and wrote:
New tattoo! Each aspect of it has its own special meaning, but overall, to me, it symbolizes “kindness and dreams”. I have just done it, so it’s all sore, but I couldn’t wait to share it! :)

Tameka Tiny Harris’ left arm tattoo is two shackled hands in a praying position. She also has the name of her R&B girl group Xscape.
She told Urban Ink: “I always tell people that the praying hands tattoo is about praying to escape. The symbol is the broken shackles on the arms. And you know, with the group I was in (Xscape) and going through a break-up. It’s a lot to deal with. So that was my first tattoo, so it symbolizes a lot and it means a lot to me.”
The hand-shaped design on Asami Zdrenka’s left forearm is a Hamsa, which is a Middle Eastern symbol of protection from evil. (more…)
Hayley Williams got a tattoo on her thigh while on tour in Australia in February 2013. The inking was done by artist Aureole at Lust For Life Tattoo in Brisbane, Australia.
The tattoo is a hand holding an envelope to symbolize relationships with loved ones while on the road. Hayley explains: “To do what we love we miss the ones we love. Long distance letters and phone calls and anything to make the distance disappear! That’s what this means to me.”
It’s done in a traditional style in black and red inks and surrounded by leaves and ribbons for decoration. (more…)
The tattoo on Génesis Rodríguez’s is a hamsa, a hand-shaped amulet which is though to protect against the evil eye. Hamsas are common throughout the Middle East but hers has Israeli imagery with a Star of David (Jewish star) and the hebrew word chai (חַי) which means “life.” Génesis is not Jewish but was inspired by a trip that she took to Israel to film a TV show.
In July 2012 Jacqui got a tattoo of female hands holding a vintage microphone. The tattoo is located on the front of her left thigh and the image is contained in a swirly frame. It was done by artist Dan ‘DMUG‘ at Red Lotus Tattoo in Lansdale, PA. (more…)
