Ruby Rose

Ruby Rose has a tattoo on her lower back of a tribal design with a rose at the center, inspired by her name. The regrettable “tramp stamp” was her first tattoo which she got when she was only 16 years old. That was in the early 2000s when lower back tattoos were all the rage, but now styles have changed and the tramp stamp is a much-mocked cliche. Ruby doesn’t love the design anymore but she sees it as a part of who she is.

“It’s a typical tramp stamp, with a rose and an architectural design around it.  It’s ridiculous,” She told Canvas magazine. “It’s such a 16-year-old’s tattoo. I would never get that now. But I would never get it removed either. It’s one of my favorites because it was my first.”

Vanessa Martinez (Simplynessa15)

The first tattoo Vanessa Martinez got was a dream catcher when she was 17 years old. Being still a minor at the time, she had her mom’s permission for getting the tattoo. Her mom also joined her for about half of the time while she was getting inked because the art piece took really long time.

Vanessa recorded the entire experience and posted the video on her Youtube channel.

Ash Costello completed her hand tattoo in April 2015. She got “1031” on her knuckles to represent October 31st.  Halloween is her favorite holiday, but it’s really become more of a lifestyle for her. Artist Ryan Ashley Malarkey also added swirls all around Ash’s existing “Dead” tattoo, connecting the swirls to the new numbers with teardrop-shaped beads.
