Alyssa Milano’s back tattoo is the Tibetan syllable “Hum.” Along with the “Om” tattoo on her wrist, this symbol is part of the Buddhist meditation Om Mani Bêmê Hum（ༀམཎིཔདྨེཧཱུྃ། in Tibetan) which translates to “jewel in the lotus.” Both the Hum and Om symbols are merely sounds without linguistic meaning.
