Ruby Rose has a tattoo on her lower back of a tribal design with a rose at the center, inspired by her name. The regrettable “tramp stamp” was her first tattoo which she got when she was only 16 years old. That was in the early 2000s when lower back tattoos were all the rage, but now styles have changed and the tramp stamp is a much-mocked cliche. Ruby doesn’t love the design anymore but she sees it as a part of who she is.
“It’s a typical tramp stamp, with a rose and an architectural design around it. It’s ridiculous,” She told Canvas magazine. “It’s such a 16-year-old’s tattoo. I would never get that now. But I would never get it removed either. It’s one of my favorites because it was my first.”

Rihanna’s hand tattoo is a henna-style tribal dragon claw, which she got on her right hand while in New Zealand on her November 2008 tour. It matches her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown’s tattoo on the same hand. The design is of a geometric dragon claw with small hibiscus that go up to her wrist. Her tattoo was done in the traditional style of the Maori people in New Zealand. This method of tattooing makes the skin appear raised and rough, rather than smooth. She said to reporters:
“It’s tribal. It represents strength and love….It’s their traditional way of tattooing. I always wanted [one]. It hurt like hell!
Adriana Lima has a tribal tattoo on her left foot.
Cheryl Cole has tribal tattoo on her right hand in a traditional Polynesian Maori style. Though she has said that her favorite tattoo “changes daily,” she mentioned this one as a favorite in a 2010 interview with The Guardian. “I like the one on my hand, the little one. Just an abstract thing.”
The now-covered tribal butterfly tattoo on Cheryl’s lower back was her oldest tattoo, dating back to at least 2002. In the above photos, taken in 2011, she had already begun work on the swirling design that now covers her lower back.
Cheryl added this portion of the new design in an eleven-hour session in August 2011 at Shamrock Social Club in Los Angeles. The tattoo represents a fresh start after her 2010 divorce. “I designed it myself with the help of an artist and had it done to symbolise a new beginning,” she said.
According to The Mirror, Cheryl told a friend “The tattoo is deeply personal. It took weeks to come up with the final design. It has a strong symbolic meaning and signifies a fresh start and my new independence.”
Eva Marcille has an art-work desigs tattoo on her left foot.
India Westbrooks had a tribal ancient Egyptian tattoo on her left hand. Of all her tattoos this one hurt the most, but that was kind of the point. She told The Hollywood Fix “I was going through some shit, so I had to get tatted to ease the pain.”
