Danielle Bregoli got a tattoo on the back of her left forearm in August 2018 depicting the face of a cherub statue.

The cross on the forehead of the cherub is a symbol of allegiance to God, inspired by several passages of the Christian Bible. When God wants to destroy the city of Judah in Ezekiel 9:4, God says to put a cross on the forehead of people who are saddened by the abominations committed there so that they will be spared. In Revelation 7:3 the angels put a seal on the foreheads of servants of God.

Statues of Christian figures never include a cross on the forehead, however there are many historical examples of vandalism by early Christians who carved crosses into ancient Greek and Roman statues to “Christianize” them.

Zoey Deutch had has a highly detailed portrait of her dog Maybelle on her right calf which was inked by Dr. Woo.  On The Late Late Show with James Corden she joked about what this tattoo implies about her: “Can ask an honest question? Is it ‘awww’? Or is it truly psycho that I got a portrait of my dog on a very exposed part of my body?”

She already had her beloved pet’s name on her ankle and says “I have ‘Maybelle’ tattooed on the other side of my ankle, so just in case I forget what she looks like or what her name is, I just look right down at my foot. And I know exactly what my dog is and what her name is, so that’s the good thing.”

Demi Lovato got a tattoo of a lion’s face on the back of her left hand in August 2017. She stopped by artist Bang Bang’s New York City studio while she was in the city for the Time 100 Gala.

The lion has many meanings: it is the symbol for her astrological sign Leo, a icon of strength, and a reference to her song “Lionheart.” The song is about about finding strength through love and was partly inspired by her deceased dog Buddy, whom she called her little lion heart. A lionheart is someone with exceptional courage and bravery.

Demi has said that if she were any animal she would be a lion and if she could have any animal as a pet she would have either a lion or a unicorn.
