Singer-songwriter SoShy, whose real name is Deborah Sarah Epstein, has a full sleeve tribal design on her left arm. Her stage name “SoShy” written on her upper arm in a gothic font.
Karis Anderson has “LOVE” tattooed on her left knuckles. She explains “I love love and I think I wear my heart on my sleeve, so I’ve got ‘love’ on my hand.”
On the inside of Hanna Beth Merjos’ right upper arm are the words “Let It Bleed.” It was done in two sessions — first she got just the words in Gothic lettering in April 2012 and then in August 2012 she had it surrounded it by shading and swirls. The tattoo was inspired by The Rolling Stones who have an album called Let It Bleed and by Courtney Love who has the same words tattooed in the same location.
Carah Faye Charnow has “Walk Together / Rock Together” tattooed across both of her forearms. She explains: “Walk Together, Rock Together” was an album/title track for a punk band names 7 Seconds. I had it on cassette and it was one of my favorites back in the day! It’s just a great message of unity.”
The “D” tattoo on Carah Faye Charnow’s ring finger is thought to be for her ex-husband Daniel Johannson.
The tattoo on Megan Fox’s right shoulder blade says “We will all laugh at gilded butterflies” in a medieval gothic font. The quote comes from Shakespeare’s play King Lear, though Megan slightly altered the wording.
On the inside of her left elbow, Avril Lavigne has a tattoo of the words “Abbey Dawn” which is a nickname that her father gave her as a child as well as the name of her clothing line. (more…)
