Wearing a sheer skirt presents the conundrum of what to wear underneath so that you aren’t flashing the world your underwear or worse. You can always go with a nude slip, but another option is to wear a bodysuit and let your legs show through the skirt, which is what Sleigh Bells singer Alexis Krauss has done. If you don’t know Carly Rae Jepsen by name, you’ve probably heard her hit single “Call Me Maybe” which is currently the #2 song in the US and has hit #1 in her native Canada and 11 other countries. The 26-year-old singer-songwriter placed third on Canadian Idol back in 2007, but hadn’t broken out into worldwide success until recently.

Is Demi Lovato being sponsored by Topshop? She wore head-to-toe Topshop at the Austin X-Factor auditions a few weeks ago, and at today’s auditions in Kansas City she wore another four pieces from the UK-based clothing chain. She arrived in the Strappy Button Midi Dress ($70.00) with the Swan Cutout Bralet ($52.00) underneath and the Square Section Body Chain ($40.00) over it. Her Lady Mama Crystal Booties are from Topshop’s premium line in collaboration with by Chloe Jade Green and are quite pricey at $350.00. The only piece that I’m not sure about is her leather jacket with a studded skull design on the back, but you can grab a similar one at Free People.
The clunky body chain is a fun and fresh look, but the dress is totally shapeless and I can’t imagine it being very flattering on anyone. Definitely not her best look!
