When asked why she sticks out her tongue so much, Miley explained that it’s not because she’s simply seeking attention. “I get embarrassed to take pictures,” she said. “I don’t know what else to do in front of the cameras. And now, people always go, ‘Do the tongue thing!'” As for the reason behind her controversial skin-baring ensembles, she told Walters, “I don’t always want to be naked!” But when she opts for more covered-up looks—say, a full-length Marc Jacobs dress— the media accuses her of being “boring.”
