Hayley Williams Plans VH1 Divas Outfit
In case you haven’t heard, Paramore will be playing to soldiers at a military base in the Middle East as part of VH1 Divas Salute the Troops, which airs on VH1 December 5, 2010 at 9pm EST. Hayley is working with her friend Jen Johnson, who sews all of Hayley’s designs, to make an outfit for the event inspired by the dress Marilyn Monroe wore in the picture on the right. Marilyn is certainly a different influence for Hayley, so I’m interested to see what they come up with. Hayley wrote:
“In about a week, Paramore will play playing for some of the troops for VH1’s Divas Salute The Troops!!! We are so stoked for the opportunity. I got so psyched that I called up my friend/designer Jen (@bunnyjenny) and said “WE GOTTA MAKE SOMETHIN FOR DIS!” and so we brainstormed… Clearly, the obvious 1st choice was to make some type of army inspired uniform for the stage. Too obvious. So I got to thinking about my favorite women in the world. What would they do!? I searched around online and found this picture of Marilyn Monroe visiting the troops. Do you see how those men are looking at her like she is Jesus in heels?! This is it! So, Jen and I have remade this lovely look… with our own twist, for reasons that should already be perfectly clear. I mean, who actually wants to see me headbang in an evening dress? NOT ME!
Can’t wait to rock it. Most people will probably hate it and say that I look insane… as usual… but hey, didn’t Gwen look nuts with blue hair and the fuzzy blue bra? And little Kim with her nipple tassles? Yeah, but you remember that shit don’t you!?”
One outfit Hayley didn’t wear is the sailor outfit shown in the promotional posters for the event. VH1 superimposed a photo of Hayley’s face from the 2009 VMAs onto an image of someone else’s body. The World War II pin-up inspired posters seem to be a disaster all around: Us Weekly is reporting that Katy Perry’s management had her photo retouched to make her breasts look smaller and fans have complained that Nicki Minaj and Keri Hilson look far more light-skinned in the poster than they really are.

Yeh i dunno if any of you guys noticed, but the katy perry picture is a still from one of her videos, where shes laying on a bed? Might be “i kissed a girl”. But yeh – obviously photoshopped, but then…. who cares?! I reckon its still hayleys body in her picture, they just editied her hair/face. And any tattoos would have been photoshopped over. Simples. But i guess we’ll never know either way, s’all speculation.

it’s not her, she’s not naturally that muscley! you can see which photo her face has been cropped out of and photoshopped from!! i hate it when people have the evidence right in front of them but they still wont believe it. dont get me wrong, hayley is fiiiine, and i really want to get the photoshopped picture of her as a tattoo!

My guess – and this is just a guess – is that Hayley did approve the picture. It sounds like VH1 created all of these photoshopped pictures and then they asked the performers to approve them, which is when Katy Perry asked them to tone down the boobs on hers. If Katy spoke up because she didn’t like her picture, then Hayley likely had the same opportunity. So she must have been ok with VH1 using this picture even if it isn’t her.

Katy Perry pretty much admitted that hers picture isn’t really her either. Or at least that’s how I interpret her tweet: “Silly press check it: I was the one who asked VH1 to tone down my DIGITALIZED image on the poster, particularly the size of my chest…”
(plus she has a tattoo on her inner arm that’s missing in the poster)

Though to me…if you look at the picture with the thought of it not being her body. it seems like a very awkward pose. and it doesn’t seem right.

yes i noticed the gap too, and also she is wearing the same earings too… on the full size poster from far away it looks real, but up close the entire picture looks awkward and fake… and to you dumb people who actually believe this photo is real… well im not even going to say anything :)

Very good eye!! I see what you mean. There’s no…shadow under the hair where it should be on her face. It looks really really fake, and that just makes it worse.

Whose to say that Hayley wouldn’t show her butt cheeks? It’s a tiny bit and act as if that would matter considering she accidentally tweeted her boobs. Just because her face is EXACTLY the same doesn’t mean it isn’t her body?
But then again look at her hair line, it’s kind of still orange. Plus if this picture were real that would probably mean it’s recent, and obviously her hair is pink. Also her earing, yaddayadda.

Hayley has even commented herself on the photo shoot experiance in her blog, she also mentioned the photos with the rest of the band, wow she can pull the same face twice. It’s obvious there is a lot of photoshop going o, but from what she’s saying it would appear that it is her body.
but it’s the EXACT same face. it’s not a coincidence, they definitely took her face from that other photo. and her hair has not looked like it does in the photo. I think she was just joking on tumblr.

Hayley commented the picture herself which means that it IS her, not just her face in another body! It’s just photoshoped very much!
