Neon Hitch got the words “Trailer Trash” tattooed on her right arm in June 2013. Though the phrase is commonly used as a pejorative, Neon is proud of having grown up in a trailer.

Her family are gypsies and she was raised in a caravan, traveling from place to place. As a child she was trained as a trapeze artist. Her family never had any money, and Neon has said that although it was hard being poor, “it was a beautiful lifestyle growing up and getting to see the world.”
