Wearing a sheer skirt presents the conundrum of what to wear underneath so that you aren’t flashing the world your underwear or worse. You can always go with a nude slip, but another option is to wear a bodysuit and let your legs show through the skirt, which is what Sleigh Bells singer Alexis Krauss has done. You can get them for even less on eBay, which I assume is where Kerli got hers.

DEV is wearing the Striped Matelot Shorts from Forever 21 ($15.80) with a jacket from Los Angeles boutique Virgo. These shorts are also available in blue and white — a much more expected color combo for nautical shorts — while DEV’s yellow and black is a spunky twist.
DEV recently chatted with Elle, where she describes her personal style as “feminine with a touch of masculine for a bad-ass edge” and reveals that her best on-tour purchases were a vintage Chanel belt and a denim maxi dress from Goodwill.

Miley wore this same top last week with a blue crochet skirt, but I think this outfit is much cuter! Her Forever 21 Alice In Wonderland Tank has a background with purple and pink flowers in many shade that match both her hot pink hair and her rosy pink shorts. This outfit which Rihanna wore to a nightclub is a mix of sexiness and “don’t mess with me” attitude. She wore a Sleeveless Denim Jacket from Maison Martin Margiela ($989.00) with a camoflauge hat, leather bralet, and Topshop American flag shorts.
Rihanna’s exact pair of Dark Denim Flag Print Hotpants are sold out, but Topshop have two similar pairs in stock at the moment. You can also get a cheaper pair of flag shorts from PacSun and if you’re feeling creative, you can make your own with some fabric dye and paint.

Cher Lloyd always keeps her outfits looking fresh by mixing in pieces that are unexpected. Her black monochrome Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Core Hi sneakers ($45.00) are an odd choice for two reasons: first because a dressier outfit like this would normally be paired with heels or flats rather than sneakers and second because they are so dark compared to her otherwise springy outfit. But ultimately it keeps the outfit looking young, which is great because Cher is only 18 years old!
Cher’s blazer and skirt are both from Urban Outfitters. Her orangey red Silence & Noise Nexus Blazer ($69.00) has an interesting cutout detail in the back. She’s wearing it over a basic white tank top and the off-white Staring at Stars Crochet Mini Skirt ($49.00).
