Hayley Williams wears bone barrettes

Hot Topic sells a pair of glow-in-the-dark bone bobby pins for $15.99 which are similar to the barrette that Hayley wore at last nights Grammy Nominations Concert. These are only 2 1/4″ inches long, and it looks like Hayley’s is larger than that. You can also buy the same barrettes without the glow from Attitude Clothing for £5.99 (thanks Chenae). Both pairs are manufactured by Kreepsville.

Hayley Williams in Coco de Coeur

At tonight’s Grammy Nominations Concert, where Hayley Williams announced the nominees for Best New Artist, Hayley wore this tacky and overpriced t-shirt from scene queen Audrey Kitching’s line Coco de Coeur. Mostly I’m just not a fan of Audrey Kitching, but the doll head is awkwardly floating in the middle of the t-shirt even though there are obvious lines where the image was cropped…not good design. Luckly Hayley tucked in the tee so you can’t see that part, and the waist-cinching belt hides the shapelessness of the shirt. You can buy the “Punk Rock Ruined Me” t-shirt for $35 at cocodecoeur.com.

And now for some awesome news: Paramore and Hayley Williams both received nominations for the 2011 Grammy Awards! Paramore’s “The Only Exception” was nominated for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group and B.o.B, Hayley and Eminem received a nominated for ‎”Airplanes, Part II” as Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals.

Hayley Williams in Odd Molly leggings

The leggings that Hayley Williams wore on the cover of Spin are by Stockholm-based label Odd Molly. Their designs are hand-sewn and consequently they are quite expensive. Hayley’s leggings, the 661 Lux Wool Pointelle Legging, sell for 129,00 EUR at Shirtstory.eu or 949,00 Kr at Miinto.dk. If you are looking for something cheaper, Target sells a pair of crochet leggings for $19.99 and Urban Outfitters sells a pair for $29.00 (Target has another pair that is closer in pattern but only comes in purple and white). Hayley Williams wears Jeremy Scott leggings

At a meet and greet during the UK tour, Hayley Williams wore the Jeremy Scott Leggings in Sketch Print from his Autumn/Winter 2010 collection “Hanger Appeal.” The print features illustrations of fashion models, one of which also appeared on a t-shirt which Hayley wore last month. They are cheapest at Shop Fatal, where they cost $115.50; and they are also available for €160 at RA13 or €166 at Doshaburi.

Hayley Williams performs at VH1 Divas

Paramore filmed their performance for VH1 Divas today at US military base Camp Arifjan in Kuwait. Hayley Williams channeled Marilyn Monroe’s sparkly blue dress which she blogged about into a jumpsuit with very Hayley-esque details like crossing safety pins at the neck and a belt that says B.O.Y. on the back.

What do you think about her outfit?

[STARRATINGBLOCK]

The Details: (left to right) blue eye makeup, B.O.Y. belt and zippered pockets, safety pins

edit: This was also the time that Paramore played their cover of the Foo Fighters’ “My Hero” as a full band. I’ve added in the video below.

In case you haven’t heard, Paramore will be playing to soldiers at a military base in the Middle East as part of VH1 Divas Salute the Troops, which airs on VH1 December 5, 2010 at 9pm EST. Hayley is working with her friend Jen Johnson, who sews all of Hayley’s designs, to make an outfit for the event inspired by the dress Marilyn Monroe wore in the picture on the right. Marilyn is certainly a different influence for Hayley, so I’m interested to see what they come up with. Hayley wrote:

“In about a week, Paramore will play playing for some of the troops for VH1’s Divas Salute The Troops!!! We are so stoked for the opportunity. I got so psyched that I called up my friend/designer Jen (@bunnyjenny) and said “WE GOTTA MAKE SOMETHIN FOR DIS!” and so we brainstormed… Clearly, the obvious 1st choice was to make some type of army inspired uniform for the stage. Too obvious. So I got to thinking about my favorite women in the world. What would they do!? I searched around online and found this picture of Marilyn Monroe visiting the troops. Do you see how those men are looking at her like she is Jesus in heels?! This is it! So, Jen and I have remade this lovely look… with our own twist, for reasons that should already be perfectly clear. I mean, who actually wants to see me headbang in an evening dress? NOT ME!

Can’t wait to rock it. Most people will probably hate it and say that I look insane… as usual… but hey, didn’t Gwen look nuts with blue hair and the fuzzy blue bra? And little Kim with her nipple tassles? Yeah, but you remember that shit don’t you!?”

One outfit Hayley didn’t wear is the sailor outfit shown in the promotional posters for the event. VH1 superimposed a photo of Hayley’s face from the 2009 VMAs onto an image of someone else’s body. The World War II pin-up inspired posters seem to be a disaster all around: Us Weekly is reporting that Katy Perry’s management had her photo retouched to make her breasts look smaller and fans have complained that Nicki Minaj and Keri Hilson look far more light-skinned in the poster than they really are.
