Ash Costello Products

Ash Costello uses a black lipstick around the edges of her lips to create an ombré effect.

“My favorite color right now is a color by MAC called Film Noir and it’s a very dark brown-red. I use a brush and outline my lips, then I dab it on so it’s not so streaky.”

Ash Costello uses red, brown, and black lipstick to create an ombré effect. “The lipsticks that I use are a combination of lipsticks that I’ve created through time. I start with a Revlon ColorStay called Ultra Wine. Now this isn’t for everybody, but I’m a big advocate of going out of the lines. I start with the bottom lip first because it’s the easiest. The top lip I go a little bit above and beyond.”

“My favorite vampy [blush] color of all time is a color by MAC called Raizin. It’s a deep deep red. It doesn’t take a lot so I just gently brush it on. I start from the ear and go down the cheek line.”

Ash Costello uses a pink blush on the apples of her cheeks.

Ash Costello uses a large fluffy brush to apply nude blush, and then uses smaller angled brushes for her contouring.

“I’m a big fan of contouring. It’s amazing what you can do with makeup. You can completely change your face shape. I like to use Nude On Board by MAC, it’s brown. I use just a regular blush brush and go over my face with the natural color first before I go in with any extreme pigments.”

Ash applies this shade along her cheek bones, under the jawline, under the tip of her nose, and lightly on the sides of her nose. Then she adds darker pink and red blush for depth.

“With a pen like this, you should be able to do [your eyeliner] in just one stroke. I like to go up and out and away from the eyeshadow. I also like to give myself a cat eye.”

Ash Costello uses a small fluffy brush to apply and blend her eyeshadows.
