For everyone asking about Light’s hair: Cut: her cut is suprisingly simple, with long layers and angles staring about 4 inches away from the bottom. Style: She ALWAYS has an extreme side part, and brushes the layers forward and to the side, making the into bangs. To help keep them over, blow dry and flat iron them(as well as the rest of your hair) down. For her curly hair, blow dry hair partially then curl random pieces layer by layer using a flat iron. Let me know how it works for all of you guys!

I sing in a local band, I’m Seirra’s height, have dark brown hair and have had highlights like her since I was ten and I wear feathers, too. So I get confused for her probably more than you do. Have any idea how many times I played a show to have someone scream, “Sierr! VersaEmerge rocks!” Yeah. It gets hard. But its also hella cool because people think I’m like her, which feels like an honor. Seriously, calm down. She’s said a thousand times that sierra’s hair is super complicated to post about, and that she had the page done when her computer crashed or something and it was deleted? So, that’s going to take a while to re-build. Cut a girl some slack. Besides, Sierra has said in interviews (apparently?) that her hair is un-imitatable (sp? sick…) because it’s a BUNCH of haircuts grown out.. Have patience. All good things to those who wait.

@Jessica actually, yes. Well, I have some as to why I wear mine: If you have a shirt that’s sheer or rides up or down a little, it’s nice to have something under just incase. Another thing is that you don’t have to worry about your underwear showing if you bend over or sit down you may not have that problem, but I know I do. Wearing a bodysuit is like any other fashion statement, you just gotta choose if you like it or not.

are you sure that is a shirt? looks more like a dress to me…. and it looks like it’s either leather or pleather…. so as long as you can find the style of the shirt, at least you now know the material you are looking for. Or if you’re good with sewing and making garments, maybe you could try making it yourself…. I do that sometimes and this one doesn’t look super complicated at all….

She has lots and lots of choppy messy layers framing her face with shorter layers on the top getting longer as you go down. Ask for long side bangs and tease them w/ hairspray & your fingers so they stay in place and tease the top layers into a “scene pouf”.

Parting it that far doesn’t work unless you’ve done it for ages like Lights has. You have to gradually get it as far as it will naturally part (don’t line it up with your jaw). Or, get a long side bang and swoop it over the length of your forehead and hold it in place with spray mousse. For the rest of Lights’ hair she has choppy long to medium layers with lots of texture and they’re a little messy. after you shower, blow-dry and flat-iron your layers and “mess” it up a little with spray to hold it in place.

If you part your hair when it is wet it will work but it might give you a headache as the roots get used to it! I find the best way to line it up is to smile and trace a straight line from the corner of my mouth, past the corner of my eye to the hairline. Brush the hair slightly forward so it crosses your forehead like lights and if it is long enough tuck the front section behind your ear.

For everyone asking about Light’s hair: Cut: her cut is suprisingly simple, with long layers and angles staring about 4 inches away from the bottom. Style: She ALWAYS has an extreme side part, and brushes the layers forward and to the side, making the into bangs. To help keep them over, blow dry and flat iron them(as well as the rest of your hair) down. For her curly hair, blow dry hair partially then curl random pieces layer by layer using a flat iron. Let me know how it works for all of you guys!

I sing in a local band, I’m Seirra’s height, have dark brown hair and have had highlights like her since I was ten and I wear feathers, too. So I get confused for her probably more than you do. Have any idea how many times I played a show to have someone scream, “Sierr! VersaEmerge rocks!” Yeah. It gets hard. But its also hella cool because people think I’m like her, which feels like an honor. So, next time you want to “correct” someone (who, by the way, never said anything on this shoutbox about Sierra inventing hair feathers, so chill) just sit back and say, “If people love her enough, they already know she didn’t invent it but now have a really awesome rock star to inspire them to get connected witht heir native american culture”. Seriously, calm down. She’s said a thousand times that sierra’s hair is super complicated to post about, and that she had the page done when her computer crashed or something and it was deleted? I’ve been looking everywhere for seirras glasses also. Im pretty sure they are her prescription glasses. The closest i’ve found are these sunglasses.

@Claire I think it’s called a quiff/hair bump. She’s worn it like that a few times before (and then has the back in a ponytail), but you should just be able to search for a YouTube how-to video, I wear my hair like that too sometimes =)

@Jessica actually, yes. Well, I have some as to why I wear mine: If you have a shirt that’s sheer or rides up or down a little, it’s nice to have something under just incase. Another thing is that you don’t have to worry about your underwear showing if you bend over or sit down
you may not have that problem, but I know I do. Wearing a bodysuit is like any other fashion statement, you just gotta choose if you like it or not.

are you sure that is a shirt? looks more like a dress to me…. and it looks like it’s either leather or pleather…. so as long as you can find the style of the shirt, at least you now know the material you are looking for. She has lots and lots of choppy messy layers framing her face with shorter layers on the top getting longer as you go down. Ask for long side bangs and tease them w/ hairspray & your fingers so they stay in place and tease the top layers into a “scene pouf”.

Parting it that far doesn’t work unless you’ve done it for ages like Lights has. You have to gradually get it as far as it will naturally part (don’t line it up with your jaw). Or, get a long side bang and swoop it over the length of your forehead and hold it in place with spray mousse. For the rest of Lights’ hair she has choppy long to medium layers with lots of texture and they’re a little messy. after you shower, blow-dry and flat-iron your layers and “mess” it up a little with spray to hold it in place.

If you part your hair when it is wet it will work but it might give you a headache as the roots get used to it! I find the best way to line it up is to smile and trace a straight line from the corner of my mouth, past the corner of my eye to the hairline. Brush the hair slightly forward so it crosses your forehead like lights and if it is long enough tuck the front section behind your ear.

@kantana333 after I saw your comment I looked through some pictures and I found this which looks like she has blue highlights but it’s from a year ago. I don’t remember her ever having that! confused.
