Though Hayley may now be best known for her orange hair, during Paramore’s eearlier days this was Hayley’s signature shade. This color is referred to by many fans as “Pressure red” because of how vibrant and gorgeous her hair looks in the music video for Pressure. With this look, Hayley’s hair is a deep red that often looks too bright to be natural, but it matches her pale complexion perfectly. Since she had this color for a long period of time the haircut varies, but it is generally about shoulder length with layers and long bangs.

Tried getting my hair this style a few days ago by myself, the dye is way too dark and i cut my bangs way too short.. :’(

I literally just dyed my hair the exact color she had in the Pressure video. In case anybody wonders I just went to Sally’s and bought Ion liquid dye: Medium Red Blonde. It sounds a lot lighter than it acutally is. It’s amazing and there was no bleaching needed.
Corresponding developer: 20% volume- Ion brand. Use 2 oz. with full bottle of liquid dye
I have this colour hair now! My hair was actually a lot darker and redder when I dyed it(I didn’t like it) but it faded to this colour. I love it!
And I get told all the time I look really like Hayley! I’m 14, but I look really similar to 16 year old Hayley!

Nia, you shouldn’t TRY to be like Hayley. Chances are you never will truly look like here because you aren’t her. And if Hayley were here, she would say to just be yourself. Color your hair whatever color YOU like. Wear the type of make-up YOU like. It’s a much easier and more satisfying look

Use WILD-FIRE red. But don’t bleach your hair because then it will be very bright, and her color here isn’t that bright. But unless you want it to be very bright, go for it!
I really wanted to dye my hair like these. But it always end up being just reddish-BROWN. How could I come up with a vibrant red? My hair’s dark brown originally.
SAME PROBLEM WITH ME !! I dyed mine Red and now its BROWN_REDDISH my natural hair colour is dark brown just like you. But im going to redye it at the end of ma holidays.
I believe the only way to get the most vibrant red when you have brown or black hair is by bleaching. There are a lot of different kits for different hair or something like that, but if you go to a hair and beauty supply store. You can ask what the safest bleach kit is for your hair and you can also pick out your favorite shade of red (the store clerk can also help you pick a color and the developer you need to mix it with).

Hi. I have medium brown hair with some light brown bits in it and I just dyed my hair with Garnier Herbashine Red Mahogany. It turned out pretty similar to Hayley’s Pressure Red. It’s a semi-permanent so it lasts 6-8 weeks, you don’t have to bleach your hair first and it’s pretty vibrant. But then you have dark brown hair which is darker than mine so I don’t know. You could have a go though.

What other Red Dry Shampoos work than Bumble and Bumble? B&B is so expensive so is there any other brands out there I can buy at Walgreens or Target for cheaper?

If you’re still not sure, you might want to stick to a semi-permanent dye and if you like it, switch to permanent

What I did to get a similar hair color was: Bleach my hair (But not till its all blonde, just to a like…a dark-ish honey blonde) and then I put in Ferias:Power reds:Ruby rush. It will be kind of brighter at first, but once it fades keep touching it up by adding manic panic’s Wild Fire (Don’t re-bleach it). You should get a pretty similar color.
All i have 2 say is SO PRETTY. My hair was dyed this coulor and everyone in my skool, inculding the dumb populor ppl said i looked like her.

She has kinda wavy hair from herself right? In the 2BE row 1st and third picture u can see her hair is straightened but wants to wave.. It looks pretty cool like that, does anyone know how to get it like that? My hairs kinda straight but its pretty curly on the ends. Isnt there another way of straightening to get straight( not flat) but not entirely lose the wave in it?

i have the same hair as you…i think. it is kinda straight but kinda wavy? if yes, then what i do is since the rain for so reason makes my hair like that i would straighten my hair. then with a spray bottle, ever so slightly, spray a very very small amount of water onto it the sections of your hair. hit it with a towel for a bit. air dry.
well now her hair is probably dead straight from all the damage.
Her hair is probably quite frizzy with split ends from all the straightening and bleaching/colouring – which puts you in a vicious cycle of having to straighten it just to make it look good, you know? I should imagine she uses a lot of high quality hair treatment to repair it but there’s only so much you can do when you colour it all the time. Let’s just hope she doesn’t end up like Lady Gaga with her hair falling out :/
Hayley’s hair isn’t too bad, because after her Riot! period (When her hair used to fade to crazy colors) she hasn’t used bleach in her hair (Apart from when she had blonde hair). She uses natural dye and another natural product that make your colour vibrant.
she deep conditions a lot. its really quite cheap. i do this too coz i dye my hair every other week xD people have a hard time believing i dye it coz its so healthy

You can just turn the heat down on your flat iron and lightly straighten it and straighten it kinda of quickly. Use some product like some wax or something and just put that on your fingers and run your fingers through your hair a couple of times. Just play with it til you get the look you want.
I have naturally way and curly hair so when i straighten it after a couple of hours it starts to do that

all you gotta do is get a flattening iron with adjustable temp. and a curling iron. since the top of your hair is straight, loosely curl it. Then, set the flattening iron to about a quarter the max. temp. and straighten your hair! Do it like you’re kinda feeling lazy though lol.
hers is naturally wavy. mines straight in front and wavy in the back, it’s awful.

Dude I love all of Hayley’s colors!!!!! I want to get me dyed a redish color, but it has to look natural because of chorus. ( Stupid rules! =P) I could away with this one……. What is the real name of the shade so I can find it?( If you go into the hair cut places or walmart or something they’ll say ” sorry, we don’t carry Pressure red, never heard of that shade my dear!” and then I’ll gasp and gawk at them!! xD Okay just kidding but seriously anyone know the exact shade?)
@erinn: you could go online and try one of them upload a photo and choose the hair you want things? or get a photo of hayley.. take it to a salon and get an hairdresser’s opinion. =].
@Helen: henna’s a good way of dying.. you might not get the vibrant fire engine red you want but it’ll still be bright enough for people to know it’s red =].
@Meg: there’s ebay.. or if you know anybody in the uk.. ask them to get you some and send it over. totally off topic but i got a beanie from UO in america and it was like £50 to ship over, so i asked my uncle in america if he could do it and it cost me a couple of £s so if you do know someone.. do it that way much cheaper. hope i helped =]

aawww i have pressure red hair but its cherry red at the front because i had blonde in my bangs. i want my hair to grow so bad its about a inch of heyleys hair when it was pressure red, i have extenshions but when i dyed them red it was from blonde so there to vibrent :’(

when i had read hair it looked pressure-red like this. as i was washed out after a month or two it looked pretty much as the last two pictures here of hayley.
the colour i used is called “Wella Viva Color Touch”, number 45/66 Red Satin. it looks great, redish like the first pictures here, and not orange
@Meg: There’s Manic Panic.. Special Effects.. Live XXL.. or you could go to a wholesalers and buy a colour contrast and mixer.. i find for unbleached hair the contrast or live xxl ones work best =]

@jules: There is bumble&bumble.. which is good but kinda pricey.. there’s baby powder.. at the moment for mine im using batiste dry shampoo.. for me its like £1.70-£2 im not sure what it is where you are.. but it’s a hell of a lot cheaper than b&b.. i suppose you could get both and use the b&b on rare occasions if you’re going out or whatever.. make sure you comb it out too cuz the batiste is just like super fine talc so it will go white/grey.. and spray from a distance so its less noticable =]
jules..if you have red hair get bumble and bumble red powder. its a red spray you spray on eyer roots that works as a baby powder which absorbs the grease and makes it look not greasy. just google salons that carry bumble and bumble in your area.
*do NOT use too much of this..not much is needed and overusing will cause yer roots too look fake red and turn yer fingers and pillow or anything else you touch it with red…trust me..*
if yer hairs not red just brush baby powder through yer hair…i guess even if yer hairs red you cud use baby powder but the bumble and bumble looks cooler.
Holly: is there any dry shampoo stuff you could recoment because if i skip one day of shower my hair gets soo greasy and horrible looking?

@Lois&jules: as long as you wash it with a colour safe shampoo&conditioner with freezing cold water every 3-4 days or so. it should be fine.. if you have really dark hair you can either bleach it for quick vibrant red.. or keep dying it red over & over.. ive never had to bleach mine although i have naturally dark hair.. ive had mine red on and off since i was 10-11.. im 17 now so mines pretty vibrant and lasts too. good luck!! =]

well if you want it to fade, use an anti dandruff shampoo cos they are mega harsh on colored hair, but if you dont want it to fade, use color shampoo and cool water to wash it

My school only allows natural colors, like brown, black, blonde, and red. If there’s any “odd” color like pink, green, orange, etc…they make you change it. It sucks D; i love this color though! I had it once.
