DEV looked tropical and summery in the Jodie Cropped Skinny Jean in Pink Palm Leaf Print from Motel ($86.40). These salmon-colored ankle pants have a green palm leaf print.

DEV wore the Motel 90s Denim Short in Rainbow Fade Print ($50.40) for her concert in Chicago yesterday. These high-waisted shorts have an ombre fade from green to blue to purple to pink. The shorts are cool, though I don’t think the denim shirt that she’s wearing them with is the best color match.

DEV is wearing the Striped Matelot Shorts from Forever 21 ($15.80) with a jacket from Los Angeles boutique Virgo. These shorts are also available in blue and white — a much more expected color combo for nautical shorts — while DEV’s yellow and black is a spunky twist.

DEV recently chatted with Elle, where she describes her personal style as “feminine with a touch of masculine for a bad-ass edge” and reveals that her best on-tour purchases were a vintage Chanel belt and a denim maxi dress from Goodwill.

DEV performed at a recent concert wearing head-to-toe leopard print with matching pieces from Motel. She wears their Hardy Boyfriend Shirt in Leopard Print ($70.00) with the Jordan Skinny Jean in Leopard Print ($60.00). DEV added her own twist to the top with golden metal collar tips. She’s also got on her Jeffrey Campbell “Clinic” Wedges ($179.95), which she has been wearing a lot recently.

DEV at the mtvU Woodie Awards Festival in Austin, TX on March 15, 2012

Taking center stage for DEV’s performance at the mtvU Woodie Awards Festival are her golden yellow Leather Shorts by Emma Cook ($530.00). Her black and white platform oxford Jeffrey Campbell “Warning” shoes ($160.00) have a creeper-style woven toe detail and etched silver buckles. You can get a sheer blouse like DEV’s with the Chiffon Oversized Button-Up from American Apparel ($58.00). I think her exact necklace is the Hammered Collar Necklace from Nasty Gal ($20.00, sold out), but you can get similar necklaces from Nordstrom or Nasty Gal.

DEV: Like A G6 Music Video Outfit ...

Dev Like A G6

DEV with Far East Movement and the Cataracs on the set of the "Like A G6" music video

In the “Like A G6″ music video, DEV wears a few pieces from American Apparel. Her pants are the Disco Pants ($82.00) which are a favorite of hers – she also wears them in her “In The Dark” video! Her lace top is the Stretch Floral Lace Bodysuit ($38.00) and she has the Cotton Spandex Ruched Front Tube Bra ($15.00) on underneath.

DEV: Acid Wash Jeans, Lace Moto Jacket, Wedges ...

DEV for LOVEsick at Hot Topic, photos: hottopic.com

In this photoshoot for Hot Topic’s new LOVEsick denim line, DEV wears LOVEsick’s Black Acid Wash Super Skinny Jeggings ($34.50) with a Hot Topic Black Lace Moto Jacket
($39.50) and Jeffrey Campbell “She-Man” Wedges ($144.95). Her style here is a bit more laid back than usual – she doesn’t typically wear jeans – but she’s still got that mix of girlie glam and toughness that I love about her style. If only I knew where that awesome jacket was from!

Dev: Booty Bounce Outfits ...

Dev's "Booty Bounce" music video

Electro-pop singer Dev (born Devin Star Tailes) wears 26 different outfits in her music video for “Booty Bounce.” A sample from this song was used as the chorus of Far East Movement’s number 1 hit “Like a G6.”

All of the clothing is from streetwear brand Hellz Bellz, save for some American Apparel hosiery. The pieces in the video span a few years of collections, so most of them are no longer available for purchase, but I’ve managed to identify 22 of the items worn. Read full story »
