Latest clothes in the Ash Costello (New Years Day) category
Ash Costello is wearing the Shredded Werewolf Tee ($32.00) from Urban Outfitters which has rips and holes.
It’s no secret that Ash Costello loves vampires – and zombies, and fake blood – but this simple graphic of a smiley face with crossed out eyes and vampire fangs is surprisingly cutesy compared to her usual gore. It’s from H&M, though she’s had it for a few months so it might not be available in stores anymore. It is not listed on the US site at all, and it’s pictured on the UK site but not available in that design.
PS. The tattoo on her neck is a fake tattoo of New Years Day’s mechanical heart logo, but the sleeve is all real. You can check out the Ash Costello tattoo page to see all of her tattoos.
Sure, this may be a Halloween costume. But that hasn’t stopped New Years Day singer and self-proclaimed “living dead girl” Ash Costello from wearing the “Marry Me Dead” Zombie Bride Costume ($59.99) on tour. And I can’t blame her, the costume comes from punk and gothic clothing brand Lip Service and it’s certainly stylish with it’s short, ripped-up hem.
Ash is wearing the Heart Dagger Gunmetal Necklace from Gasoline Glamour. Unlike the multi thousand dollar shoes that Ash has worn, this necklace is one of Gasoline Glamour’s more affordable pieces at $30.00.
Drop Dead Clothing have combined their zombie cat logo with Disney’s Mickey and Minnie Mouse to create these “Kitty Mouse Brainz” sweatshirts. Ash is wearing the men’s version which has Mickey Mouse, but it’s also available in a women’s Minnie version. Both sweaters are $67.50.
I already got to ask Ash a whole bunch of my own questions when I interviewed her at Warped Tour in June, but I learned some new things from the twitterview like that she dyes her hair with Manic Panic’s “Raven” black and “Electric Lava” orange dyes and uses their “Vampyre’s Veil” compact. She’s also a fan of Urban Decay’s “Oil Slick” black eyeshadow.
Recently Ash has been talking about dying her hair a silvery white and posted inspiration photos on her tumblr, but she’s concerned about damaging her hair, which is naturally black. “It took me forever to grow it this long, I’d die if I wrecked it. We’ll see!,” she writes. Should she do it? I think it would look great on her with heavy black eyeshadow and red lips, but the damage is a legitimate concern, especially once she decides to change back to another color. Hair dye tends not to hold properly on hair once it’s been bleached, and I can tell you that from “why is this pink? It’s supposed to be red!” experience. I’m glad that mess is grown out!
Ash Costello managed to get her hands on another pair of amazing shoes from Gasoline Glamour – I’m jealous! Like her previous pair these shoes are covered in square Swarovski stones, but these peep toe pumps are accented with red rhinestones – the cause of the name “Bloodbath Pumps” – as well as strands of white crystals and giant spikes all along the heel. She pairs them with her Wolford bandage tights and a black and white striped long-sleeve mini dress.
Ash Costello is wearing Gasoline Glamour’s Pavement Shoes, which are covered in Swarovski stones. Gasoline Glamour shoes are all hand-made and cost in the thousands of dollars. They are mostly loaned out for photoshoots and music videos (Katy Perry and Avril Lavigne have both worn their shoes in magazines and DEV wears this same pair in her “Bass Down Low” video), so I don’t think Ash actually owns this pair, especially since she captioned the photo “give ME THIS HEELS AND NO ONE WILL GET HURT.” But a girl can dream…
